@cassieblooms Absolutely love the Zelda games! Personally Link’s Awakening is a favorite of mine and the remake of it is absolutely adorable. If you only get around to playing some of them, I’d recommend this be one of the ones you play!

If you're set on Ocarina as soon as possible, I'd say play the 3DS remake. I still love the N64 version, but mostly for nostalgia.

I really don’t think any of the Zelda games are skips they’re all really good!! *slides skyward sword under the bed* but I think for the best experience with the remake, play OOT and MM for sure! Then you can go back and check links awakening if you want the pixel version or continue with TP and WW! I’m excited for you!!!

@cassieblooms If you like more open-ended games, perhaps the two on switch are up your alley.
For more guided, story-driven games, perhaps Link to the Past, or Link's Awakening are good choices.
All are great imo, but there are definite highlights, and some "postpones" I'll say.
