@NHLTradeAlert I hear ya (Draisaitl’s not going anywhere obviously) but if he limits his destinations to 1-2 teams (Edm being 1 of them), won’t have to pay as much. Will be interesting for sure!

@Jakey_71 Oilers do not have what it takes to make that trade unless you’re suggesting Draisaitl goes the other way.

Some of you still seem to think oil is only used for gasoline for light duty vehicles, because that’s the only time you’ve physically encountered it. Expensive and scarce oil is an omnicrisis for the global economy. It cannot be replaced by electrons from solar panels.

I occasionally receive emails like this ⬇️from former media professionals—now retired and finally able to speak freely. I’ve withheld the name for obvious reasons. This one comes from a very well-known figure. Thought I’d share this one with my followers tonight.

The closed Strait of Hormuz is testing Asia’s energy security. The answer lies across the Pacific—in Canada Canada offers Asian buyers a faster, cheaper and geopolitically safer route that can skip Hormuz and other chokepoints like Malacca and the South China Sea altogether. fortune.com/2026/03/15/asi…

A tale of two Iranians 1. - A 19 yr old national champion wrestler. Executed today for the crime of marching with 30,000 other murdered young people who just wanted freedom. Canada said nothing. - A Shia cleric of that Islamo-fascist regime. Just given Canadian citizenship. Marching in support of the regime at an al quds parade in Toronto in his first week in Canada. If there’s a way for Canada to be on the wrong side of history, this is it. Thx to @AlinejadMasih for keeping everyone informed. Here’s to a free Iran.

What's the case for new pipelines? New report finds $31B economic lift — & 112,000 jobs – for Canada from new oil pipelines “I can’t think of anything else that would give such a large jolt to the CDN economy over a 10-yr period,” says ATB's Mark Parsons. calgaryherald.com/opinion/column…

#REPORT: Nunavut MP Lori Idlout, who crossed the floor from the NDP to the Liberals earlier this month, has reimbursed the House of Commons $1,700 after being caught expensing items she purchased for her office from Carvings Nunavut, her own private business.

The electricity abundance and affordability that Canada has enjoyed for decades are ending. Generation is down, exports are now imports, and investment is flat. Canada’s impending electricity shortage is not just an affordability crisis; it is an economic and security one as well. Pleased to launch this paper at @ippsaconference today /1 macdonaldlaurier.ca/wp-content/upl…

At the start of the Ukraine war (2022), Canada’s carbon price was $40/tonne. On April 1 2026, it reaches $110/tonne — more than double. For a truck hauling food Toronto–Montreal weekly, that’s roughly $6,000 more per year vs 2018. And that doesn’t include higher fuel prices themselves from global shocks like Ukraine or Iran.

A pattern of cover-ups and secrecy by the Carney Liberals. First, Canadians learned through media questions that an Iranian missile strike hit a base in Kuwait where Canadian Forces were stationed. The government said nothing until it was exposed more than 11 days later. As if it were an excuse, Prime Minister Carney said yesterday when pressed, "Well, I'm not the only spokesperson for the government." And now we learn 60+ Canadian soldiers suffered frostbite during Arctic training, and the Liberals tried to cover that up too, misleading Canadians about the number and severity of injuries. Our troops deserve a government that tells Canadians the truth and has their backs. Instead, this Liberal government covers up and hides, hoping nobody will notice. Mark Carney must take responsibility, do his job, and be upfront with Canadians.
