@notrandomlygen1 Whether you like her or not, her husband works for the Mets. I think he's on the coaching staff.

@DanClarkSports Very top heavy line up and a shaky bullpen. They will have to upgrade to go far in the playoffs. An prolonged injury to Judge could be catastrophic. Am Rice continue to hit at this pace?

It's actually hilarious - Yankees fans have been shitting on the lowly Mets all season, and now the Mets have just won the Subway Series. Are the Yankees pretenders? After all, they are just .111 against teams over .500.

@kenwhitehepflc @DannyAbriano Don't need to win the division to make the playoffs so who cares? Phillies went to the WS is 2022 far far behind the Mets and Braves in the standings. And what kind of a lead did Detroit have on Cleveland at this time last year or even later?

@DannyAbriano The Yankees are playing like crap right now but they’re not 11.5 games out of first place in their division

On elevator at Citi Field late during Friday’ Mets loss, a Yankees fan looked at group of Mets fans with a smirk on his face and said “maybe next year” The Yankees then proceeded to lose a series to a Mets team whose offense was so injured that it resembled a deformed claw Oops

@Masterflip_ I've always been a fan of Swaggy V. Obviously I can't deny the disappointment over the last 2 years but I still feel he can be useful. People don't realize the Mets could be worse without him. He has some pop and at times can go nuclear. Almost 1000 OPS in August last year.

@DannyAbriano The media and fans were ready for a 3 game sweep after Friday. With the Clay Holmes injury. Then the drop by Benge yesterday. Its not a movie, there's no script. Sorry guys

@TalkinMetsNoG Just remember Mike, you put the Yankees 4th on your fan ranking of NY teams. Could you imagine what they would be like if they had to endure 1 losing season? 33 years without a losing season.

@KnicksMemes @TalkinMetsNoG He won't, and the idea was getting someone that could stay in the rotation with the young kids. Not turn around 2 months later and ship him off for different prospects. 2026 was not a freebie year to experiment. They're supposed to be competing.

@TalkinMetsNoG I doubt he nets as much as they gave for half a season especially not looking as good as he should... and of course he could get hurt before they can trade him (like Holmes did) but yes I'm very glad they kept Ewing

@TalkinMetsNoG Then why did they trade for him? Seems like he fit into the same mode of what Senga, Peterson and even Holmes were doing last year.

@rangerzfan79 @BMiggy @JonHeyman So what? The baseball season is 6 months. Guys go through slumps and then they got hot. His career numbers are more telling. Nimmo is over 700 with the Mets every year. He's not 800 anymore but that was clearly the peak of his career.

Mentions OPS like Nimmo hasn’t been mired in a deep slump since his OPS peaked at 1000 early in season lol Over the last three weeks, the Mets have 6 hitters with a higher OPS than Nimmo But don’t let that stop you @JonHeyman
New York Post Sports@nypostsports

Brandon Nimmo (.784 OPS, higher than every qualified Met) accepted the trade to Texas after a brief conversation with David Stearns. It reminded him of talking to a car dealer, only the dealer was selling him on walking away. Read more from Jon Heyman: trib.al/p6V3Qfd
