SEO News: Google has quietly rolled out some major changes to their search results.
In the past, we have seen Google testing out different search menu tabs, focused primarily on changes related to either 'Web Results' or 'Forums' (a replacement of 'Perspectives').
Now seeing a change that seems to only apply to the UK and Europe where there are now default 'Products' and 'Product Sites' tabs which feature distinct results.
Within the Products tab, the results are entirely oganic merchant listing results from a variety of sites that qualify. Whereas the Product Sites tab seems to feature a more narrow set of web pages that feature a selection of products – having the carousel treatment in some instances.
When digging in to how sites achieve the carousel treatment in the past, I wasn't able to find commonalities, with my suspicion being that it may be based on the new Carousel (ItemList) structured data which is currently in experimental beta.
After a more thorough look into whether this was the case, I couldn't find much proof to support this. It seemed like Google was enabling the treatment for certain domains but not others – but using ItemList could certainly still be a factor of influence here.
While all features shown in each screenshot aren't brand new, with extensive testing being conducted in the past, this is however the first time I've seen this as the default in the UK/Europe for all users. If you're based in either of those regions – keep an eye out!

Why can’t I complete a refund without out multiple log in requests? I log in to then be greeted with:
