If you’ve been following the USMNT for a long time, this result and performance isn’t surprising. Soft crybabies who fold the second it gets tough. Pulisic should never be mentioned with Donovan and Dempsey again. Soft. This isn’t on Poch. This generation of players are who they are.

This is now the 4th straight World Cup in which the USMNT will exit in the Round of 16: -2010: 2-1 loss vs Ghana -2014: 2-1 loss vs Belgium -2022: 3-1 loss vs Netherlands -2026: 4-1 loss vs Belgium It sucks to recognize it really hasn’t gotten that much better in 16 years

Thoughts on the USMNT following their exit: -Pulisic is only rated so highly because the bar has been so low for American players for so long. He doesn’t show up for big moments and is not a leader. -Sergiño Dest should not be a starter. He has all the athletic and technical talent, but boneheaded decision making. -Our CB situation after Chris Richards is dire. -It is mind boggling that Freese is the best keeper we could field. -Freeman is still very raw, but definitely has potential to be great. Tillman, Robinson, Richards, McKinney, Adams, and Balogun are the only ones that bring consistent quality to the table. What an exit. Yikes.
