Notes from Saturday at Bethpage 1⃣ Walked 18 holes inside-the-ropes with Rory and Shane this afternoon. It definitely crossed the line. 2⃣ As Rory said, it's not the heckling, it's specifically the heckles when he's over the ball. Split over early in the round but did (somehow) get a little better. 3⃣ Police and marshals didn't do a lot. Either did the referee, despite players asking on multiple occasions. Just a lot of well-served New Yorkers waiting for 2-3 hours to heckle (mainly one player). 4⃣ Has Justin Rose missed a putt this week? If so, I haven't seen it. He's six years older than one of the captains! 5⃣ Can't get over how soft the greens are. No real jeopardy off the tee. Rory this morning on 16. Rough right. Pin front right. No issues. Stopped it short of the hole on line and won the match. And it's not just the rain. 6⃣ Free concession stands for all is a game changer. Can't fully endorse it because of the cost of the tickets but it is seamless and somehow doesn't get abused. 7⃣ Bryson's caddie may get the blame for the incident on 15 but it was Bryson walking towards them and nodding that tipped it. 8⃣ Francesco vs Ted Scott was hilarious. 9⃣ Considering all the talk coming into the week, I think this (so far) is the greatest Ryder Cup performance ever. Rose, Fitz, Fleetwood, Rahm, Rory, just some unbelievable performances, especially on the greens.
