A new watchdog report from the Government Accountability Oversight Project alleges that President Donald Trump directed $3 billion in federal funds toward his own properties and political allies. The report claims this was achieved through a series of classified security agreements and no-bid contracts authorized during his final year in office. Investigators suggest that emergency national security designations allowed these properties to receive federal payments at rates significantly higher than market value. The most substantial allegation involves a $1.2 billion security agreement at Mar-a-Lago, an amount that reportedly exceeds the security budget of any private residence in U.S. history. While the Trump legal team has dismissed these findings as a partisan attack, federal investigators are currently reviewing the data. If verified, this would represent the largest alleged self-dealing scheme by a president in the history of the United States. Critics have noted that the funds in question were drawn from the national treasury, which traditionally supports essential services such as veterans' hospitals and disaster relief. While no formal charges have been filed, the scale of the alleged diverted funds has sparked intense debate over executive accountability. The Government Accountability Office has yet to issue a formal comment on the specific findings of the report.

Heartbreaking description of the pointless, thoughtless damage being done to the Kennedy Center. It was such an important part of life in Washington, and is now being destroyed for no reason theatlantic.com/culture/2026/0…

@londonnative12 @Timodc @Alejandro27Ale She doesn’t accept money from aipac and said she won’t in the future. What else do you want? Mass murder of kids? Bro, chill out, that’s not true. And they didn’t “drag us” into this war; they convinced a dolt of a president to attack Iran.

@JamesEllings2 @Timodc @Alejandro27Ale Well I mean some of us want a politician that doesn’t accept money from people who support a country that just committed mass murder of kids over the last few years and dragged US into a dumb war but hey let’s trivialize it instead why not.

Friendly advice, when a person has moved your direction on an issue and you still malign them for celebrating dead children (?) because they are experiencing a moment of joy…that does not tend attract people to a cause. One man’s opinion.

@Timodc @EmmaVigeland @JesseCannonIRL So fun dancing on the graves of dead Palestinian children like that. Just a bundle of joy, right Tim!?!?!? Let her have her moment; it’s her turn!

We like to say that it's Trump that's making people sour on moving to America. But a lot of it is the deterioration of American cities, which is largely due to progressive ideology.
由仁アリン Arin Yuni@Arin_Yumi

I talk to a lot of people my age irl about moving overseas and many of them do not want to move to America. Almost everyone who says that brings up the same three reasons: the cities are dirty and smelly, guns, and the lack of a proper healthcare system

Leftists are mad because this describes them exactly. They absolutely let trump back in office on purpose; they were proud of themselves for not voting for Kamala. It’s was almost celebratory, they high fived each other and patted themselves on the back. We saw you
best of kamala harris@archivekamala

.@CoryBooker: “You may disagree with her [Kamala Harris] on 10% of her views, but you let someone get in office who you disagree with on everything. You let somebody get in office who is locking up our children. You let somebody in office who is taking away our healthcare.”

@Timodc @Alejandro27Ale Saying you don’t accept AIPAC money while continuing to accept money from AIPAC donors isn’t moving towards us. It’s performative duplicitous nonsense. You know better Tim.

Tim is learning who the Leftists are in real time 😂 He thought he was strengthening the anti-Trump, liberal movement by embracing Hasan. But this is who these people are. There is no nuance to their views and they don’t believe incremental progress can happen. Demand Utopia and shit on both sides for not delivering it yesterday.

Trumpism has a serious structural problem. It is an oppositional program. Its rhetorical posture and emotional force is predicated on opposition to The Establishment. But here is the catch: at this point Trumpism is the Establishment.

“For my friends everything; for my enemies the law.” DOJ has become an instrument of authoritarianism. No more laments for what it was; or talk of “abuses”; or wishful thinking they can’t get away with it. They can, if not confronted across the board. cbsnews.com/news/trump-law…

DC police responding to a domestic assault call documented that Rep. Cory Mills, on a phone call with the victim, instructed her to lie about where her bruises came from. Officers listened. They still sent an arrest warrant. Trump’s US Attorney for DC, Ed Martin — who calls himself “President Trump’s lawyer” — refused to sign it. A supervisor reclassified the assault as a family disturbance. The arresting officer told the victim on body cam: “I have bosses making this into a family disturbance instead of an actual domestic assault.” MPD internal affairs opened an investigation into its own handling of the case. The criminal probe was later closed. The House Ethics Committee investigation remains open. rawstory.com/trump-doj-2676…

This from @jdawsey1 and @AnnieLinskey pretty much confirms everything you might have suspected about Trump: bored of the war, frustrated and surprised by Hormuz, thinks videos of things going boom are signs of success. "The president sometimes loses focus, spending time on the details of his plans for the White House ballroom or on midterm fundraisers—and telling advisers he wants to shift to other topics." "Trump is keeping close score on the war, measuring how many Iranian targets have been destroyed as a key metric of success... he was shown clips every morning of stunning explosions across the Iranian terrain." "Trump has since marveled at the ease with which the strait was closed. A guy with a drone can shut it down, Trump has said to people, expressing belated irritation that the key waterway was so vulnerable." wsj.com/politics/natio…
