@Tantacrul - are you affiliated with Musescore.com? I'm amazed at how bad/scammy my experience with them has been. Their web interface is deliberately confusing and they refuse to give a refund for a service I clearly didn't intend to sign up for.

@devonzuegel This is Cohousing, right? If not, how does it differ from standard Cohousing?

I've been quietly working on something for a while, so I'm excited to finally be able to share it with you... We are creating a new town called Esmeralda! Our team has an exclusive option on a beautiful piece of land 90 mins north of SF, in California wine country

@SethAbramson Conservatives say “we’re the in-group and should get better treatment.” Liberals response has been to say “no you shouldn’t” - but that implicitly acknowledges their framing. Calling them weird is saying “you’re not the in-group” and is way more effective

Calling conservatives ‘weird’ sucks all the air out of the threatening aura they’re trying to convey. It’s the same thing as doing this:

@bfwalter Just finished reading your book and I found it really fascinating! I’m curious where you think the US sits on the polity scale right now, and if you think that number has changed because of the recent Supreme Court rulings.

@SethAbramson Of course you’re right, but the unavoidable electability problem is this: the way Biden is perceived of as unfit for office (too old) is much easier for the average voter to understand than any of the myriad ways Trump is unfit for office

If Republicans can seamlessly get behind a rapist and convicted fraudster and serial adulterer and narcissistic sociopath and active insurrectionist and pathological liar and gleeful racist I think Democrats can seamlessly get behind an old man historians rank the 14th-best POTUS

What’s going on with Elon Musk, and why is he doing this to Twitter? I spent the last few months digging into it. I found a pretty big clue.

@elonmusk @EdKrassen 3. But the guys who moved fast and broke things don't need to care because they made bank and never face any real-world consequences for their actions. So it's galling to watch them be hailed as visionary geniuses when their recklessness hurts so many people.

@elonmusk @EdKrassen 2. The 'move fast and break things' period rewarded whoever was most willing to be reckless. In the short term it led to fantastic growth but now it's just breaking important things like Democracy, Digital Communication, and Starship Launch Pads.

One thing I've had a hard time understanding is how and why so many people on the left have gone from respecting Elon Musk to seemingly hating him over the course of just 2 years. Hear me out please and provide your thoughts below... Musk definitely has some conservative views, and he most definitely has said some controversial and inappropriate things, but we must remember that Elon is also a huge proponent of what many Democrats have been pushing so hard for when it comes to climate change and the environment (example: see clip from a TED interview below). Tesla and Space X have so much potential for the planet and for humanity, as do Elon's concerns and visions of the future. Elon has his own beliefs, just like we all do. And just like I disagree whole-heartedly with so many opinions that my Republican friends' have, that doesn't mean I can't be friends with them and I can't share my thoughts with them. When we work together on finding common ground, and on discussing opinions and facts, that's when we as a people make progress. Isn't that what most of those on the left want? This doesn't mean we should stop calling out misinformation or begin accepting conspiracy theories as facts. It merely means working with humanity to make the human experience better and freer for us all.

@lilbadsnacks The tiny homes/no price inflation part is kind of impossible as far as I can tell, but the rest of what people are describing here fits

@Realfixitman21 @SaraHor76174949 I honestly don't understand this talking point. Of course weather/climate changes, that's not automatically concerning. It's specifically the rate and degree of change that's concerning.

Didn't want to believe it until I had more data, but signs are looking like the coming El Niño will be Eastern Pacific in origin. While only the AU model is saying super El Niño right now, the possibility alone should be causing alarm bells to ring. WE ARE NOT PREPARED! 🔥🔥😱

@GuyDealership Well right, a large part of the reason some people spend $80k on a car is because they want other people to think they're rich.
