@DrRebeccaTidy @shadetreeisback It’s your own fault for not having a child arrangement order when you separated. He can do what he wants because you’re ignorant. Instead of fixing the problem you jump online thirsty for attention. Not the governments fault you’re thick

My ex is taking our child on a term-time holiday without my consent. Today the headteacher informed me that we're BOTH being fined £80, as we didn't ask his "permission" for a holiday. I didn’t agree to co-parent with the state. And I’m unconvinced by the parenting on offer. 🇬🇧

@ainsley100 @MarinaPurkiss Just before Xmas I heard Biden in an interview. He was coherent, made good arguments and sounded completely normal. Now compare that to someone who cannot remember the name of Greenland despite it being, hopefully, at the forefront of him mind. What's left of it.

@SciGuySpace Are they playing the old “give the boss two or three options but only one of them is any good” game and trusting that the boss has the sense to choose the good one?

Internally, Duffy is talking about a 30-month plan to get humans to the Moon. Among the alternatives are Blue Origin (I recently reported on a Mark I-only plan) and an old-space, cost-plus proposal. Only a fool would believe the latter is a viable option this decade.
NASA Acting Administrator Sean Duffy@SecDuffyNASA

We are in a race against China so we need the best companies to operate at a speed that gets us to the Moon FIRST. SpaceX has the contract to build the HLS which will get U.S. astronauts there on Artemis III. But, competition and innovation are the keys to our dominance in space so @NASA is opening up HLS production to Blue Origin and other great American companies. 🚀

Kirsty Wark has complained to the BBC that Gregg Wallace made "sexualised jokes" 13 years ago. Her complaints were included in a BBC misconduct letter sent to Wallace. Can you imagine complaining about a joke someone told 13 years ago? bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@Dragon07221408 @triffic_stuff_ @BorisJohnson For who? The idiots who spent the fast 24 years fucking up the country? There is literally no way labour can be worse. The Tories were massively incompetent, complacent, and probably corrupt. And you want them back? Christ, some people.

Good luck to everyone protesting today against Labour’s demented family farm tax. Farmers work all hours and all year round to feed this country. We should be doing more to champion British food and keep our farmers on the land. Instead Reeves is clobbering British agriculture with a tax that is spiteful and punitive and economically disastrous. End it now.

The petition to revoke Article 50 and remain in the EU accumulated over 6 million signatures. I’m wondering if the people who signed it would also accept the validity of this latest one, and vice versa?

So offensive to say those with any savings, who’ve been careful with their wages, are not working people! I’ve worked & paid taxes since I was 18. (In the pool unpaid since 8, 6 hrs a day). I paid my bills & saved before I spent any money on luxuries. We appear to pay taxes on the same money over & over in the Uk! What incentive is there to save if that’s the case?

@FPL_Chunks @MartinSLewis The specific answer is the taxpayer. But since carers save the tax payer money, there is an overall benefit in less money overall being needed.

CONFIRMED: Good news. The Carers Allowance earnings threshold will be increased from £151 to at least £181 in the #Budget tomorrow, starting April 2025. So carers can earn more and still receive the allowance. Still waiting to hear... - Will the allowance itself increase - Crucially will they replace the cliff-edge with a taper (ie you don't lose all the money for just being 1p over)

@rossendale_rob @EileenMcDee @juneslater17 Wood burners are sealed so none of the woodsmoke leaks out into the room. Properly maintained chimney and flue brings all the smoke out the chimney nowhere near people. You just open the door to pop your wood in and close it up again. It's really quite safe

I don't drive an electric car I drive a large diesel. I will never install a heat pump. My 400 year old house is unsuitable. It wouldn't work. Show me someone who says it will, and I'll show you at least 20 heating engineers that will pull their fairytale apart Smart metres aren't smart they're a Self Monitoring Analysis Reporting Technology..that's what smart means. Ed Milliband misleads you when he talks about green energy companies, they're investments fund with massive tax payer subsidies. Wind farms don't run on wind, they run on tax payer subsidies. Solar farms .tax payer subsidies.. We are forcibly contributing to our own downfall, and then on top of that sending millions in Foreign Aid to China and India who can continue to grow their use of of fossil fuels, ignore net zero BECAUSE they get that Foreign Aid . See The Paris Accord. .when will you have had enough of this bullshit?

@Frances27628257 @Joeburrows90911 @kelvmackenzie Utter bollocks. Immigration is a tiny cost compared to running the rest of the country. The root cause of this issue is chronic underfunding of education by the previous government meaning we do not have enough school places.

@Joeburrows90911 @kelvmackenzie People are now so much aware of how Labour are not on the British person’s side like they used to be. They are now firmly on the side of immigrants and are providing a good living for them at the expense of our pensioners who mostly voted Labour all their lives! How disgusting.

@RichGann @MissDemeanor07 @RobNoLastName Exactly. Landlords and the like are the reason the countries children cannot afford to buy homes. The more that have to sell the better. Now landlords will actually have to do some work for their income.

I've sold a property that made a 10% return. I pay 40% tax, so the state made a 4% return on an asset it paid nothing to purchase. Then they told me they wanted yet more. So I sold the asset. Now it gets nothing. Labour aren't economically literate. [Before the twitterarti pile in: yes. I make money from rent. Sometimes renting is the best option. Imagine you want to open a sandwich shop. There are two identical premises available. One for sale for £3million. One for rent for £2000 a month. Which one do you choose? You'd rent, obviouisly.

I’m guessing you missed the part in the Huw Edwards piece where I say: “If he’s done anything wrong, or illegal, or inappropriate, of course he should be punished accordingly.” But feel free to keep on banging that drum if it stops you drawing on the walls in crayons.
