Wife and I were tag teaming the dishes after dinner, I cleaned the kitchen knife and placed it down to dry and reflexively said “knife down.” She just rolled her eyes (I agree). Next time I’ll say the harpoon of a meat thermometer is “down, protected.” Why am I like this?
