@UroDocAsh @SUO_YUO Great thread + discussion. Thoughts re basic/translational science by urologists and 2nd yr? Less research time allocated even to faculty + little research in fellowship= a change in urologist role in innovation. Not for everyone but very rewarding for some despite lower $$.

8/ If we want to attract the best residents, we should spend less time lamenting their choices and more time understanding them. @SUO_YUO Similar conversations are occurring across all of academia, law, consulting, technology etc. And I often hear that ‘resident/fellows just don’t want to work as hard anymore”. That misses the point. The current generation simply demand a clearer - more defined - return on their investment. @daviesbj @uretericbud @KeithKow @rbarbosa91
