@DrSimonEccles @Mark_A_Jones_ I had the pleasure of meeting Mark in April at the @CIOCHIME CIO bootcamp in Cambridge. He was a most wonderful erudite person and great fun to be with. We shall all miss him

I’ve just heard that we’ve lost a dear colleague @Mark_A_Jones_ to pancreatic cancer. Mark was an extraordinarily lovely, and positive person. He brought a real enthusiasm, and joy to digital informatics. He was an inspiring, detailed and considerate colleague. 1/2

I was Tom Fogarty’s last fellow. I performed some with him. He always told me to use air in the balloon. I still do. He was my mentor an angel investor business partner and remains a friend.

@farkomd @mattsmeds I only ever used a red and green Fogarty (did they come in other sizes ? 🤣) seriously though, red and green and air covers pretty much every eventuality. Lets be honest we only use this catheter at unseemly hours and therefore I believe in simplicity hence red or green.

@dagim_leykun @farkomd I have had air filled balloons burst, but never had any consequences- due to the small volume of air. I will say that pretty much all my mentors used air

@JamesRIBrown @farkomd Pliability advantage.🤝 Considering reuse of balloon after reprocessing, your thoughts on risk of balloon rupture in pneumatic versus hydraulic ones, especially in scenarios where accessibility is challenging in resource-limited settings. Open to hearing your perspective.

Mark Francois complained that a primary school in his constituency with RAAC had been promised eight mobile classrooms for this term and they now wouldn’t be delivered till November. Education secretary blamed soft ground

Lots of Essex MPs in the Commons this evening for debate on RAAC. @pritipatel @Metcalfe_SBET pushed for guarantees that schools will have their costs reimbursed, @vickyford reminded MPs to use their language carefully, so as not to unnecessarily scare children 1/2

“Nobody supports mutilating kids. That’s just a conspiracy theory.” Oh really? The official WH position is against any age limit for hormones and gender surgeries:
