Israel killed another journalist last week. Her name was Amal Khalil. Amal was a Lebanese reporter who'd spent years documenting the human cost of Israel’s attacks on southern Lebanon. She was also devoted to rescuing animals during Israel’s bombing campaign.

There has been a good deal of speculation on the matter of the Israeli systematic use of dogs to violate prisoners. One of the main claims against it, is that it is physically impossible. Unfortunately, this is a well documented form of dehumanization and torture. Unless all these people are lying, it is possible. As we have learned, there is no form of treatment too awful for Israelis to use against Palestinians.

After we filmed this the terrible news that Israel had killed the journalist Amal Khalil in an air strike, reporting on the devastation of her country for Al Akhbar. That rescuers were blocked from reaching her. Journalists are civilians. If this was deliberate, it is a war crime
