@FoodForestNetwk You said that private property rights won't survive. That either means state seizure or violent theft, both of which are types of force. What other plan do you have for erasing private property?

SCOTUS may rule that birthright citizenship is constitutional, using precedent and a loose interpretation of an earlier ruling, so we may need to approach the issue of one million Chinese communists voting in our elections in the future differently. As it holds, they can’t even be denaturalized. There would definitively and permanently be no solution and creating citizens of those who dilute our values is republic ending. What we can do now, is aggressively and publicly enforce FARA, the Espionage Act, and related statutes against anyone (citizen or not) acting under CCP direction. Prosecute espionage, influence ops, and undisclosed CCP ties. That’s really it though. If it’s ruled constitutional for anyone infiltrate and dismantle our republic, all we can do is try to disincentivize it. How utterly demoralizing.

They wouldn't have put "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" if they meant that literally every single person born within the U.S.'s borders are citizens. Everything in the Constitution suffers from too few words. They didn't just randomly waste words in the 14th Amendment. Subject to the jurisdiction thereof means something.
Greg Price@greg_price11

It just feels so painfully obvious that the 14th amendment does not mean that a 9-months pregnant woman from Mexico can cross the Rio Grande illegally, give birth, and be allowed to stay because her child is now a natural born citizen.

Trump's approval rating just fell below 40 percent in our tracking for the first time. And his net approval rating is now -17.4, also a new low and down about 5 points over the past several weeks.

@rushicrypto Because the 34% they take from my salary isn’t enough? Plus the 10% sales tax I pay on every single purchase I make? While illegals get taxpayer funded schooling, healthcare, housing and food? Give me a fucking break.

I’m very confused about the number of people who think “property tax” is a sales tax on you home rather than taxes to pay for public services you use every day. “I paid off my home why do i still pay property taxes?!?!?” Oh, did you also stop using the roads and libraries and sidewalks and parks? Not worried about fires anymore?

Prediction: the birthright citizenship case is 8-1 or 9-0 against the administration, on the constitutional issue. There's a lot of wishful thinking about "they'll make a statutory holding" but i think this will be a sweeping affirmation of the 14th amendment.

@newstart_2024 Sub-83 IQ people aren't total invalids. They can flip burgers or dig a hole. They can contribute. You could argue that they generate $9 of value for $10 of pay, but society can bear that cost just fine.

Jordan Peterson shared one of the most sobering statistics I’ve heard in a long time. The U.S. Armed Forces — after over a century of careful psychometric research driven by life-and-death necessity — will not induct anyone with an IQ below 83. They concluded that there is simply nothing in the military (at any level) that such a person can be trained to do without being counterproductive. Peterson noted that this threshold captures roughly one in ten people. And if the military’s complexity is even roughly comparable to broader society, that means about 10% of the population has no viable place in our cognitively demanding world. He emphasized that this isn’t about lack of money or short-term training. The data shows it’s extremely difficult to turn low cognitive ability into the kind of adaptive, creative problem-solving that modern society requires. It’s a raw, uncomfortable truth about human variation that most people prefer not to discuss openly. What do you think — is this statistic something society needs to confront honestly, or is there a better way to think about it?

I don’t get the DeSantis hate. A current Republican governor in a huge state with tons of executive experience and actually ACCOMPLISHING things republicans say they want… and he barely gets a blip compared to three other guys with a combined executive experience of zero.

My hot take is that birth rates need to decline in the short term so that in the long term, we aren’t completely void of resources and ozone. “The economy will collapse.” There is more than enough wealth on the planet to go around. Capitalism is built on exponential population growth. It cannot survive without it. You’re fed a narrative about birth rates that protects our current economic system. It feels like there isn’t enough capital to go around because a handful of people are hoarding it, and passing the consequences onto you. We are nowhere near extinction due to population decline. We are far more likely to go extinct because of climate change. Are we presently equipped to handle a majority elderly population in a few decades? No. Could we be if we valued actual longevity over production? Yes.

Vance is pretty much inevitable in 2028 at this point and I know a lot of you aren't going to want to hear that but its just how it is. No one else is willing to run a serious counter to him and the leading political movement against the current GOP leadership only have 1 plan and its to not vote or vote Democrat. You are just sealing your own fates.

@WarMonitor3 There is no point of landing on Kharg Island with troops, that only puts US lives at risk. Iran’s military assets on the island can be bombed, while the island can be under a full naval blockade, preventing any tankers from leaving or coming in, stopping 90% of Iran’s oil exports

US Kharg Island operation assessment-FT: -Kharg Island used as a bargaining chip to reopen strait of Hormuz Irans economic backbone. -Troops landed on island via helicopter either marines or paratroopers, hug coast and seize key oil infrastructure for cover and to prevent Iranian artillery fires. -Operation highly risky as within Iranian drone and artillery fires, likely all US air assets would be redirected to provide air cover for landed troops. -Still not enough troops, likely to be a raid rather than a long form operation.
