@accpchest @gbosslet @gbosslet Thank you for your passion! WA state's ICU beds have been >95% full for months (even before Omicron), staff are hurting and tired and all of that means delays for critically ill patients regardless of indication (COVID, trauma, stroke...). GET VAXXED! STAY SAFE!

Met a post-COVID ICU patient in clinic yesterday - he is home, off O2 & grateful and ashamed for being duped by misinformation (but is now vax'd!)...we all cried. sharing his gratitude w/ RN/RT/MD colleagues who need a contrast from tragedies that we see too often

I saw this several times last week from the strongest nurses and docs in our MICU. glad we havent lost our compassion but sad that it has come to this.

This decision was tough but I think the right one. Our goal is to make attending CHEST 2021 as accessible as possible for our members. And, while we was looking forward to being together in person again, we are equally looking forward to connecting online! #CHEST2021

@uwpccm admissions increasing w/ younger, previously healthy patients. Hospitals are *full* and staff are fatigued ... precisely what we needed to avoid with vaccines & mitigation measures. healthcare doesnt work as well like this (covid or not). #vaccinate #maskup
