@asxpeasant I really wonder how they expect the general public to get ahead, the red tape involved in opening most small businesses is prohibitively expensive, now the other two avenues are going to be taxed to the eyeballs.

Capital gains tax effectively kills ASX small cap investing:
The same principle applies here to us investors who take risks to provide early capital to shell companies in the hope that they fulfil their goals and we all win as a result.
Our conservative boomer Pollys want to punish that activity.
How dare you try and get ahead

@tomhagan88 I paid $72 for 3 pints in the city after work a few weeks ago, seeing has made me feel like I was ripped off.

@CamMagicMan Hayward has had 36 run metres in the last 3 weeks, that’s total not each week. I don’t expect a rake to run for 100 each week but an average of 12 per week isn’t helping them.

@samstrades They’re supposed to take over the metro site I’m on at the minute in the next few months

🇵🇬 Salary Exemption 🇵🇬
Well respected journalist @BulldogRitchie has revealed via @dailytelegraph, the recruitment list for the PNG Chiefs.
It’s believed they are going all in and looking to use the salary cap exemption to its full potential.
Does this team make the top 8?

@markbouris Sold $71 billion in money making assets to pay off $56 billion of debt, yes what a financial visionary.

THOUGHTS: Is @WestsTigers skipper Api Koroisau in trouble for this? Depending on charge, could he $3k — could be three games😬🙏

@JohnAndersonAC The debt Howard paid of was $56 billion, $39 billion of that was carried from Fraser. And how did Howard pay it off he paid oof $56 billion by selling off $71 billion worth of national money making assets. If you’re going to shoot your mouth off at least show facts.
English

Twenty years ago yesterday, the Howard government paid off Australia's national debt entirely.
This month, that debt crossed $999 billion.
Seven in ten Australians say they are worried about where this ends, as projections estimate a continual rise throughout the next decade.

@PaulineHansonOz The private plane you flew on to go and lick trumps boots uses about 350 gallons per hour, what was your return flight time?

@StockMKTNewz I wonder how many tankers will risk re-entering to get filled up on the chance they may get stuck in there again.
English

@BollingerBanter It’ll take weeks just to refuel the 1000+ tankers that are sitting idling in the straight before they even set sail.
English

What David mentioned is true.
Then account for the lag in oil delivery (not many people are).
The last ship to leave the straight freely, left in February & will only deliver next week...
Theres a fucking lag.
& end of war (if it comes) does not = normalising immediately.

We're really only at the surface of the knock on effects of this war.
