The problem with cherry picking one stat is that there are often others with better stats in that ONE area. The best athlete of all time in any sport should have the best overall BODY of work. In football it is definitely Barry Sanders. In Baseball Bo is not in the top 100. Dual sport athletes, he’s probably considered one of the best. He just doesn’t live up to the legend the public created in part because of tragic injury. We will continue to wonder what could have been. He’s probably a top 5 “what could have Been” athletes of all time had he not suffered such a terrible injury. I always enjoyed watching him play. Funny thing is if you look for highlights of his career you see him breaking a bat over his head, making a long run against the Seahawks, and him making a throw form the outfield to the infield to make an out. All great plays but not enough to put him in the conversation. Look at Barry Sanders highlights, there are 100’s of runs. All are unbelievable. Then these athletes should be listed above Bo if average per carry is the mark to achieve best athlete Top 10 single-season yards per rush averages (NCAA major college/University Division/FBS), minimum 100 carries Jackie Robinson (UCLA), 1939 — 12.2 YPC Andy Johnson (Utah State), 1953 — 11.6 YPC Darrell Shepard (SMU), 1982 — 10.9 YPC Rudy Mobley (Hardin–Simmons), 1942 — 10.7 YPC Hank Luisetti (St. Mary’s), 1947 — 10.5 YPC Tom Harmon (Michigan), 1940 — 10.3 YPC Elbert Dubenion (Bluffton/Toledo era records), 1958 — 10.1 YPC Johnny Rodgers (Nebraska), 1972 — 10.0 YPC Chris Smith (Texas), 1994 — 9.8 YPC O.J. Simpson (USC), 1968 — 9.6 YPC

No college baseball records, football records are for Auburn and a few SEC records. One was yards per carry 6.6 yards, All-purpose yards and touchdowns: 4,575 tcareer all-purpose yards and career 45 total touchdowns (43 rushing, 2 receiving); he ranks as Auburn’s second all-time leading scorer by touchdowns Barry Ssnders by comparison had Total all-purpose yards: 3,250 yards in one season (NCAA record) , 39 touchdowns , 7.6 yards a carry. In one season not career. Bo Jackson’s famous 40-yard dash time does not appear in official NFL Scouting Combine history (and thus does not “rank” on any official all-time Combine list), supposedly he ran 4.13 but not an official NFL time. In 2017, Olympic sprinter Christian Coleman ran a time of 4.12 seconds on turf .. that is officially the fastest time.

I BELIEVE BO JACKSON’s mythological reputation had grown well beyond his stats. Mainly because his career was cut short. Great athlete but not to 50 His best season in MLB : 32 homeruns, 105 RBI, 26 stolen bases, .256 batting average, .495 slugging percentage. One all star appearance in 8 seasons I also left out Bo’s 178 strikeouts in 1989, which led all of baseball. Not even top 100 in MLB history NFL typical season thresholds we create to separate the “elite” running backs — often, 1000 yards rushing, 10 touchdowns, and averaging near 100 yards per game. Spoiler Alert: Bo Jackson never crossed any of those thresholds. Bo’s best season, again in 1989, he rushed for 950 yards and 4 touchdowns in 11 games. Fairly unremarkable numbers, even for a mediocre NFL running back. In 2012, Adrian Peterson ran for a near record-breaking 2,097 yards. In Bo Jackson’s entire career he ran for 2,782 yards. I’m not even putting AD in top ten list…Barry sS Sanders , yes If we are talking about best two sport athletes then he’d be in the discussion

Continued • Modern era: 2015 (~977), 2022 (~553), 2023 (~834), 2024 (~901). In 2025 alone, over 1,000 by September. Many for drug offenses, murder, or political charges; ~50%+ of recent executions are unreported officially. Iran accounted for ~64–74% of global recorded executions in recent years. Major protest crackdowns (death tolls by security forces): • 2009 Green Movement: ~72 killed. • 2019–2020 fuel protests: 300–1,500 killed (internet blackout hindered documentation). • 2022–2023 Mahsa Amini (“Woman, Life, Freedom”) protests: ~551 confirmed killed (higher estimates exist). • 2025–2026 nationwide protests: Deadliest since 1979. Government reports ~3,117 killed; activists and UN sources report 5,000–7,000+ verified, with estimates up to 20,000–30,000+ (including massacres, summary executions, and internet blackouts). Thousands more arrested; bodies often disappeared or mass-buried. Routine repression also includes deaths in custody, forced confessions, and killings during smaller demonstrations or ethnic/religious minority crackdowns. Many executions target minorities (e.g., Kurds, Baluchis) or political opponents.

Short summary of the kind (sarcastic) Iran you seem to defend Key examples (non-exhaustive): • 1980s Lebanon bombings (Hezbollah/Islamic Jihad, Iran-backed): April 1983 U.S. Embassy bombing in Beirut (63 killed, including 17 Americans); October 1983 Marine barracks bombing (241 U.S. service members killed). These remain among the deadliest attacks on Americans. • 1983–1987 Kuwait and regional attacks: Series of bombings (e.g., French/U.S. embassies, Kuwaiti sites) involving Iranian agents and Hezbollah operatives. • 1992 Buenos Aires Israeli Embassy bombing (Hezbollah): 29 killed; Iran implicated. • 1994 AMIA Jewish center bombing in Buenos Aires (Hezbollah): 85 killed; Argentine and U.S. investigations linked it to Iranian officials. • 1996 Khobar Towers bombing, Saudi Arabia (Hezbollah al-Hejaz): 19 U.S. service members killed; U.S. courts and intelligence tied it to Iran. • 2003–2011 Iraq war: IRGC-backed Shia militias (Kataib Hezbollah, Asaib Ahl al-Haq, etc.) conducted hundreds of attacks using EFPs (explosively formed penetrators) and other weapons, killing hundreds of U.S./coalition troops. U.S. estimates attribute ~600 U.S. deaths to these groups. • 2007 Karbala attack (IRGC-Quds Force-directed): Militants disguised as U.S. soldiers killed 5 U.S. troops. • Ongoing proxy campaigns: Hezbollah rocket/missile barrages against Israel; Hamas/PIJ attacks (Iran provides funding/weapons); Houthi Red Sea shipping attacks and drone/missile strikes; attacks on U.S. forces in Iraq/Syria (e.g., 2019–2020 rocket/drone campaigns). Iran-backed groups have also struck in Bahrain, Yemen, and elsewhere. • Global plots and attacks (2010s–2020s): 2012 attacks on Israeli diplomats (India, Georgia, Thailand); 2024 arson attacks on Jewish sites in Australia (IRGC-directed); plots in Europe, Latin America, and Africa targeting Israelis/Jews or dissidents. Iran has been linked to attacks or plots in over 40 countries since 1979. 2. Direct Attacks Carried Out by Iran (IRGC or Agents) These involve Iranian state agents or IRGC operating without primary reliance on proxies. Key examples (non-exhaustive): • Assassinations of dissidents abroad: Dozens documented, including the 1992 Mykonos restaurant killings in Berlin (Iranian Kurdish opposition leaders); multiple plots in Europe (2018 wave foiled in France, Denmark, etc.); killings in Turkey and Iraq (2019). • 2011 Washington, D.C. plot: IRGC-Quds Force attempted to assassinate the Saudi ambassador via a bomb at a restaurant (foiled; would have killed U.S. civilians). • 2020 ballistic missile strike on U.S. forces: Direct IRGC attack on Ain al-Asad base in Iraq (over 100 U.S. troops with traumatic brain injuries). • Maritime and other attacks: 2021 drone attack on Mercer Street tanker (2 civilians killed, including a British national); other tanker seizures and attacks in the Gulf. • Recent plots: 2022–2024 IRGC-linked plots to assassinate U.S. officials (including former President Trump) and journalists in the U.S.; 2024 direct missile/drone barrages on Israel. 3. Iran Killing Its Own People (Internal Repression) This includes judicial executions (often for political, “security,” or morality charges like moharebeh or efsad-fil-arz) and extrajudicial killings during protests. Iran has one of the world’s highest execution rates. Thousands more have died in custody or from protest suppression. Exact totals are underreported due to secrecy. Execution statistics (major trends): • Since 1979: Tens of thousands executed overall. • 1981–1982 massacres: Over 3,400 political prisoners executed. • 1988 mass executions: 2,800–30,000 political prisoners (mostly MEK and leftists) killed in prisons nationwide on orders from Ayatollah Khomeini; one of the worst single episodes.

I would agree with everything you said except, model athlete. The best in the game , Barry Sanders, Micheal Jordan, I’ll leave baseball up to baseball fans, Ali, Roger Federer, Wayne Gretzky etc…. None of them flopped and laid on the court/ field like LeBron. He will be judged ultimately by the way he played the game and not just by stats. I get it , Jordan has more rings but even more than that he played the game hard and didn’t act like he had a season ending injury in every game. I don’t watch the NBA anymore but everytime I watch highlights I’m constantly seeing LeBron flop and then lay on the court pounding it like he just tore his ACL and his season is over. Respect is lost by many fans and players when you play like that regardless of how many years you play or points you score. All the other attributes you pointed out should be applauded but on the court he’s not a top five pick because of his antics on the floor. I wish him the best in life after basketball but I just can’t watch him play now.

Or we could eventually attempt to recover from a nuclear bomb from a terrorist regime. Then all those on the left would be blaming Republicans for “not doing something “ while forgetting decades of poor policy decisions by both parties since 1979. “Can’t we all just live in peace” only works for the peaceful. How about stopping all the government fraud , that should cover the war costs

You are describing all communist countries leaders. Leaders that live off the backs of the people. The rich you are referring to have made their money off of innovation, risk taking , employing others, paying 90% of all the taxes. You are actually one of the rich people you constantly criticize. I’ve never flown on a private jet and you routinely / only fly private. Your income is top 1% in the country. So instead of criticizing people in your bracket you just raise the bracket to a level that is above yours. You have never held a real job, never employed anyone with money other than taxpayers money, never innovated , never built a company. Your life has been not one of service but one of creating division. You are an angry old man that has not accomplished anything other than convince people to vote for you which absolutely amazes me. I do wish the best for you but I wish you would actually do something worthwhile.

In America today, wealth inequality has become so extreme that the top 1% now own as much stock and mutual funds as the bottom 99% combined. No democracy is sustainable when so few have so much while so many have so little. We need an economy that works for all, not the 1%.
