I was just talking about how highly educated people convince themselves of obviously stupid things all the time. Being educated makes it easier to do the mental gymnastics needed to ignore common sense and evidence, and convince yourself that something any moron could tell you is a bad idea is "actually kinda genius if you think about it".

- Create massive compliance costs that only big corporations can afford
- Establish regulatory capture where industries write their own rules
- Strangle innovation and entrepreneurship in red tape
- Build permanent bureaucratic empires that expand regardless of results
You're not getting consumer protection. You're getting a cartelization mechanism that happens to sound compassionate.

The pacing of this game is awfully slow. Everyone just sits in buildings or the back of the map because nothing in the game is encouraging them to actually move.

I’m currently recording a video playing Modern Warfare 2019… was hoping to have some sort of enlightenment where I see the good in the game… but nah. This is still easily one of the worst CODs ever. Like actual terrible experience 😭 I’m trying so hard to see the good but the video is turning into me just criticizing every bit of the game the whole time.

It’s honestly exhausting how often it happens.
You’ll be having a completely normal conversation about anything and suddenly a man feels the need to announce whether or not he finds some woman attractive. No one asked, no one was wondering, and yet he says it like it’s valuable information.

@Jameskies They feel just off to me. Apart from me just absolutely hating ghosts launch maps those were the first two games that didn’t feel like cod to me. A shift to something different

@baamaaaa many launch maps were awful. dlc map pool are easily the best maps in the franchise. ghosts also had a horrendous ranked system that ruined every lobby. but i think the sat coms and perk point system are objectively steps forward from pick 10 and uav for example
