No one — and I mean not a single intelligent soul — should take @rigathi seriously when he purports to now be the champion of the Somali hoi poloi. He should spare the country his fake crocodile tears. Since when did he discover that Somalis are full citizens of Kenya with “shares” in the company he calls Kenya Inc.? Look, Wamunyoro is only using the historical plight of Somalis to beat up on their leaders because they support President @WilliamsRuto. You would never hear a peep from him were they his minions. Intelligent people shouldn’t allow themselves to be manipulated by this cynical, hypocritical, hateful dude. The fox has never guarded, or protected, the chicken coop. Besides, Gachagua shouldn’t steal the agency of Somalis. They know the issues that bedevil them, and have ample brains and voices to articulate questions of mal-governance and corruption. Let’s treat the man from Mathira with the contempt that he rightly deserves. Akwende huko! After all, according to him, only people from the Mountain matter @ahmednasirlaw @JunetMohamed @AbdikadirMohami @HonAdenDuale @HEAhmedJiir

Today we signed a Letter of Intent between the Government of Kenya and Athari Global - a diaspora owned Canadian firm, working to train Kenyans in disability support work here in Kenya and connecting them with employers in Canada. The pilot project now has approx 30 Kenyans and growing. This is part of our Muuguzi Majuu program. Structured mobility pathways work. #KaziMajuu #PSWaMajuu #TalentMobility

At the Career Kick Start & EDF Awards 2025, one of the most impactful sessions was our panel on “How Youth in Africa Are Using Innovation to Overcome Barriers in Their Communities.” It reminded us that innovation is not just a buzzword; it is the lived reality of young people who are reshaping solutions where challenges are the greatest. @darrellkofkin explored how the arts are fueling transformation, showing that creativity is not only expression but also resilience, healing, and economic opportunity. He highlighted how young Africans are using music, performance, and visual art to challenge stereotypes, raise awareness, and create industries that employ and inspire. @VivensUwizeyim1 spoke about the power of the digital space, illustrating how youth are developing apps, platforms, and networks that cut across barriers of geography and access. His message was clear: digital tools are not just technology, they are bridges that connect communities, expand markets, and position youth to thrive globally. Dr. Eugenie Muteteri grounded the discussion in agriculture, reminding us that Africa’s future is tied to its food systems. She shared how young innovators are leading in smart farming, agri-processing, and agribusiness, turning agriculture into a driver of jobs, food security, and rural transformation. Together, their perspectives painted a powerful truth: youth are not waiting for opportunities, they are creating them. Whether through arts, digital innovation, or agriculture, young people are proving that barriers can be turned into steppingstones. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Professor Darrell Kofkin, Vivens Uwizeyimana, and Dr. Eugenie Muteteri for sharing their expertise and for inspiring over 200 participants to see themselves as the architects of Rwanda’s future. #EDF2025 #CareerKickStart #YouthInnovation #Arts #Digital #Agriculture #YouthEmpowerment

At the Career Kick Start & EDF Awards 2025, we were honored to hear from Ms. Grace Dusenge, representing @RwandaYouthArts together with Hans Bretschneider from @giz_rwanda Grace reminded the fellows that true empowerment goes beyond technical skills; it is also about creativity, values, and culture. She shared the many opportunities available through the Ministry, including @YouthConnekt and other national programs, and encouraged the young people to apply for them. Most importantly, she advised our fellows to always follow good things that can guide their journeys and shape them into responsible leaders. Hans added a powerful perspective, showing how opportunities grow when youth, government, private sector, and development partners work hand in hand. He reminded us that youth are not only job seekers, but job creators who hold the keys to inclusive and sustainable development. Together, their messages left our 200+ participants motivated to think bigger, stay grounded in good values, and boldly take their place in shaping Rwanda’s future. #EDF2025 #CareerKickStart #YouthEmpowerment

This Afternoon at #EDF2025 We had the privilege of hosting @IsabelMasozera , who delivered an inspiring session on “Unlocking the Power of Meaningful Connections in the Digital Age.” Her talk highlighted how authentic relationships remain the foundation of success, whether in business, careers, or personal growth, despite today’s fast, changing digital world. Participants walked away with fresh insights, practical strategies, and renewed motivation to build networks that truly matter. This session was a reminder that while technology connects us, it is trust, empathy, and human connection that create lasting impact. #EDF2025 #DigitalAge #MeaningfulConnections #YouthEmpowerment
