At different outcrops of Pinto Gneiss, the use of a portable radiation detector can be observed. One of the visible readings reaches 194.81 (clearly anomalous compared to the natural background), while the second image shows the same device recording elevated levels in another area of the project. These surface measurements directly validate the anomalies detected by the recent high-resolution airborne radiometric survey (2,172 linear km completed) and represent a promising indicator: many HREE minerals are associated with thorium and radioactive elements.
