@ndcorngrower @bigmothufacking No one believes us down here but it’s already done for…some is droughted out lots of blonde heads…most guys aren’t going to have to get the combines out and if they do it’ll be mostly 10-15 bu wheat. Great yields will be in the 30s…

@Jamesstrand22 @bigmothufacking Drought will not move the market because one rain can fix it. But, a foot of snow and 26°f on headed out winter wheat is what will ruin the crop and move the spring wheat markets up to profitable levels.

After a long dry spell, US Plains winter #wheat may finally catch meaningful rain in late April-early May. For the market, the question is whether this rain can still support yields — or only limit further damage. #oatt #agwx

@Bkitch1Bodie You can get two cuttings, if you plant it early, plant it later (June/july) you can get 1 good one and some smaller growth for maybe a second Makes great cow feed. Might look at spring forage oats next year, plant in Feb, harvest/bale in June the plant sorghum/sudangrass after.

Anyone with experience growing sorghum Sudan grass, how many cuttings should I expect to get? I’ve got 16ac of a smaller field that I’d like to plant to it for hay. We’ve added cows last couple of years and would like to have this to feed. #cows #beef #agtwitter

1. My stats professor from Grad school would roll over in his grave trying to make a inference from that type of sampling. Also I realize that more than the farmer survey goes into the numbers. 2. Farmer - "The USDA doesn't know anything it's rigged" Also Farmer - "I'm not going to share any of my information to make the data better"

Oh man 😳 response rate of only 37.6%. We will probably once again this year see some acres surprises and adjustments going forward 🤦‍♂️

@_TheMizzouTiger I’m notill into heavy wheat stubble so no sunlight hits the soil. We go with varieties with good ear flex. Max I’ve heard anyone run around here is 25,000 but most 20,000 to 22,000.

Spring games for college football have lost their buzz. Personally, I wonder, if the college governance stuff collapses, if they decide to move to an NFL style of off-season work and the randomized days of 15 practices goes away. Just thinking outloud this morning.

@CoachRileyig @JohnBishop71 I voted no. Year 4 with a “real” coach. I’ve been a staunch give him time, but after the end of last year I don’t care. Basketball has been fun. Baseball is ranked. If they aren’t competing for playoffs during the Iowa game I won’t care.

@JohnBishop71 How could you possibly say no with that schedule. We are literally going 6-6 at the best next year

Would you "sign the contract" for an 8-4 season for #Huskers football? Straight record, no guarantees on who you beat or who you lose to.

I have lived in Nebraska my whole life and don't know anyone who drinks Busch light. Where does this Nebraska loves Busch light thing come from? Maybe I have an abnormal circle of friends/family lol
Sam McKewon@swmckewonOWH

This quote from a bartender in @Amie_Just column: "I wish one of the Nebraska people would have called me and said, ‘Bring in Busch Light.’ I had some people go, ‘Busch Light, please.’ And I’d look at them, and I’d go, ‘I haven’t had a Busch Light in years.’” From Kimball, Omaha and everywhere in between, Nebraska basketball fans have taken over Oklahoma City as bartenders marvel at their number — and try to keep ice in stock. omaha.com/sports/huskers…

@Cornfrmr @JesseJLewis Figure $1/gallon on 4-5 transports (8000ish) gallons. That went a long way towards one persons living expenses…

Gas prices? That is peanuts to the increases in fertilizer, seed, repairs, interest rates, insurance and the list goes on and on for farmers. And those increases mostly happened during the previous administration.

Man if it was March 20th planters would be rolling. Conditions are stupid good. On a completely unrelated note. I’ve never seen 5 gallon DEF buckets. $3/gallon on sale.
