haha kinda, but i couldn’t get my use case working with meta. 3min videos are what the meta supports w/o a great way to search them (just gets saved to ur camera roll). i want continuous long memory recording like in person meetings, etc. and i think the ability to globally search ur memories with ai is gonna be super powerful. meta could def do it, but it def doesn’t today

day 8 of letting everybody search their personal memories @tryreplayapp today was mostly fighting CAD/design issues: - bad print quality - camera hard to slide into the hinge - glasses length still off but i solved 2 big problems today: - i asked reddit how to fix these weird white whisk marks on my 3D prints (see pic). someone suggested using a heat gun post-print and it worked insanely well. bought one from the ACE across the street. honestly think i can get surprisingly far with fully 3D printed MVP glasses now - decided replay v1 just won’t fold lol. removing the hinge makes PCB + camera install way easier and avoids tiny printed parts that keep failing definitely weird shipping glasses with no folding/no case, but i’d rather get the product working than spend months mastering glasses manufacturing. it is an MVP after all. still waiting on the PCB shipment, no movement there. praying praying praying this thing works first try.
