@JamieBraziel People usually only cry about bankruptcy before filing, not after when they realize how much better their lives are without the debt. And why do you keep blabbing about "claiming victim status"? You are the only one mentioning it. My point is you don't have a grasp on reality

My parents went through bankruptcy and survived and have much better lives now thanks to what they learned from that experience. They chose not to cry about it or claim victim status.

Proud Gen X here living in this economy with no debt and a paid off house and car. Guess how I did it? I learned from previous generations to buy what I actually needed and could afford and made short-term sacrifices for long-term freedom.

@JamieBraziel Gen X here. My gramps always told me to never have debt. Poppy’s dead now. But I’ve lived by that my whole life. Had a couple car loans that nearly killed me. Finally made some money. Retired at 40. Own 5 rentals, no mortgage. Drives 13 year old car with 50k miles. Zero debt. 🥂

@Pechumes @Beachnut1855 Doesn’t change the fact that you should buy what you need that you can afford in whatever economy. If you can’t do that where you are, then home ownership may not be for you especially if you’re not willing to look elsewhere.

@Beachnut1855 @JamieBraziel A reminder that even with 15% interest rates, homes were still cheaper in 1980 than now. Avg home cost was 2.2x avg salary in 1980. Today, avg home price is over 5x. Home prices have not risen the same as inflation.

Well, the c-pap ain’t working much. It’s helping me breathe, but I can’t get into a deep sleep because my brain won’t accept I have the thing on my face. So I’m always in this pseudo-sleep awareness mode. It sucks

Since your Christian I presume you subscribe to the new testament as it supersedes the old treatment. So again try to be more empathetic.
