@PaulPau10nicho @timwig Yes, but the pathway is set for winners and runners-up of groups, not for specific countries regardless of whether they come 1st or 2nd in group

All four group winners in one Super Eight pool - and all four runners-up in the other - again highlights the lack of sporting integrity in the format of the T20 World Cup. Preseeding teams like this doesn’t happen in other sports.

@MartinSLewis Cutting down 3000 steps a day will save you over 20 minutes. 60 press ups a day will take maybe 5 minutes. Yet another saving!

My obsessive physical target of 2026! Last year I broke my steps record averaging 26,100 a day. This year I'm dropping back a little on steps, to maybe 23k-24k a day. Instead I want to try and do 20,000 press ups in 2026! So far I've done 1,170. I try and do 3x20 most days (or sometimes a bit more) and of course I graph it. Anyone else who's able, fancy joining in.

ICYMI| You might have heard a different, but very familiar voice reading out the team news today. Pete Simcoe, our iconic stadium announcer from the Rockingham Road days, recently celebrated his 90th birthday, and we just had to have him back for a guest stint! #KTFC

Shocking service from @IKEAUK this week. 2 failed deliveries with no explanation or apology at all. Very disappointing. Apparently arranging a delivery date doesn’t mean they are promising to deliver on that date. I bet they look after @mondohoss600 better than that

Every day at about half 3 in the afternoon a lady in the office will always ask everyone "what are you having for tea?" Then everyone talks about what others are having and if we've "had that too" at some point. Says a lot of about me, but I love this.

@Flyingpig121 @srhnation I agree with you other than the fact o don’t like to see rules being fudged.. if the rule is there then it should be enforced. I think they should bring it down to 84 but be super strict about it

@JamieNelson7 @srhnation i might be in a minority Jamie but i couldn't care less about over rates as long as i've been entertained for the day and it's rare that you're not watching england either way

4th cycle of WTC and still i don't understand how this slow over rate thing works. India bowled 83 overs on Day 1 Both teams combined bowled 73 overs on Day 2. But only England have been penalized for slow over-rate. Why???? Are the rules different for different teams??? We got one of the greatest test matches in recent times, match ended well within time then what's the point of slow over rate. Test match ended on last session of Day 5 ... How many test matches have ended on day 5 these day Or last 5 years? Not many!!! A competition where all teams don't play against each other isn't a competition.

JUST IN: England have been docked two points from their World Test Championship tally and fined 10% of their match fee for their slow over rate in the Lord's Test against India #ENGvIND

@354reason @moving_charlie Sure, but the vast majority of landlords try to charge at or near the market rate, just like any other good or service that is privately provided. I don't think relying on either the inefficiency or generosity of landlords is going to get us far.

I’m sure they’re all nice people, but nice people can also be incompetent. When they’re in positions of power that incompetence costs us; not them. It’s a housing crisis horror show.

@HumbleFlow They’re the same price now as they were in the 80s.. so I guess it’s to be expected that they’re not as good

My grandpa has had the same washing machine since the 80s. It still works. He’s never had to replace it. Meanwhile, I have to buy a new one every five years. It’s not just washing machines. It’s everything. Fridges, dishwashers, phones. We used to build things to last. Now we build things to sell. If they don’t last, what’s the point? I just want a washing machine that works for 40 years. Is that too much to ask?
