I opened my gate this morning to drive out and noticed three ladies taking pictures right in front of our house. I signaled to them that I needed to come out, but they pleaded with me to give them a few minutes. I agreed and waited. A few minutes turned into almost 20 minutes. Every time I signaled again, they kept saying, “Just a little more time, we’re taking birthday pictures.” At that point, I was already running late, so I told their keke driver to pack properly so I could drive out. He moved, and I was finally able to come out. After driving out, I came down to close the gate. As I was about to leave, one of the girls suddenly rushed back again just to strike another pose with my car. I didn’t say anything. I just entered my car and started it. Then I heard one of them say; “See the kind of car she’s even driving sef… even if they gift me, I won’t take it.” I sat in my car for a second before driving off. A ₦7 million car. My money. My car. And somehow, I still felt small.

You’re right. Catholics are attacked because we have the truth. I came into the Catholic Church last Easter, and I see it so clearly. I used to be a non-denominational Christian before converting. I know the things that are said about Catholics behind closed doors and even from pulpits. I didn’t convert into something trendy or comfortable. I knew after converting the attacks would come. But, it was worth it. I came home to the truth. The church Jesus established. The Eucharist, not a symbol but Jesus Christ Himself. Two thousand years of truth that hasn’t changed to please the world. The Pope, the successor of Peter. The Magisterium, guarding the faith without compromise. The saints and martyr’s, who have gone before boldly proclaiming the gospel even unto death. The Blessed Virgin Mary, our Mother, who leads us to her Son and has never abandoned His Church. And people hate that. They hate what I found. They hate that I won’t bend it, soften it, or turn it into something it’s not. They hate that I defend it. I will continue to stand for Christ and his Church. No matter the cost.

My husband said he would take care of our kids for a day to show how easy my job is, but now he's upset with me. We have 2 kids, aged 3 and 5. My husband has the option to work from home some days, but he prefers going to the office. I run a small buisness from home that brings in a third of our income, but since I'm at home i also handle the kids and most of the house work. A few days ago, i was really tired and didn’t cook dinner. When he got home, i suggested he order something and he got upset. He said since i was home all day, the least i could do was cook. I tried to explain that he didnt know how much i did during the day and he said he would stay home to prove how easy my job was..

Pope Leo is right. Christians and Muslims can live together. We should be friends. But this is where it gets uncomfortable. You can’t keep telling people to trust you when extremists keep killing in the name of your religion. That fear didn’t fall from the sky. It was built, attack after attack. So yes, friendship is possible. It should be normal. But pretending everything is fine while people are still watching bloodshed tied to Islam is exactly why that trust keeps breaking.

I watched a video where a Muslim man shared his testimony. He said he had not been able to sleep peacefully for years. Every time he went to bed, he would experience terrifying nightmares and sleep paralysis. He said he went to different alfas for help, but nothing worked. Immediately, he saw a bright light fill the room, and the demon disappeared. When he woke up, he realized something had changed, and he believed the name of Jesus carries power. He said that was the turning point that led him away from Islam to Christianity. He added that before this, he used to pray his Islamic prayers before bed, but the nightmares and sleep paralysis never stopped.
