If I were a Nat’s fan (I’m not), I would think twice about taking the metro and walking to the park. I’m sure a lot of other people have the same thought process. Navy Yard curfew has expired, I wouldn’t go anywhere near there after dark, until a permanent curfew is in place, and even then it’s one of the more risky areas of the district.

Note in here: Nats Park has seen the biggest attendance drop of any park in MLB. Average attendance through the first 16 home games of 2025 and 2026... 2025: 26,206 2026: 22,094

The Nationals bullpen is obviously still a work in progress, but it might be starting to come together a bit: ERA: Richard Lovelady: 2.63 Gus Varland: 2.84 Paxton Schultz: 3.60 Brad Lord: 3.74 PJ Poulin: 4.11 Mitchell Parker: 4.76 Even Cionel Perez has a 3.97 ERA since April 6th, and Andre Granillo posted two scoreless in his return from AAA yesterday. No one's mistaking this for an elite group, but they might not be nearly as bad as they looked to start the season.

@NatsOfTheFuture Aidan Teel isn't a pitcher or rather isnt a good pitcher. He's an excellent defender. I haven't seen how he's doing with Miss St this year. His brother is a very good catcher.

@starsstrikesbb I took about 25 people (for work) to a Rockies game in 2022. Fantastic stadium, concessions were affordable, and everyone was friendly as hell. One of our guys was a French national and they gave him a button and certificate for his first MLB game.

It’s worth noting the Rockies have consistently good attendance despite consistently terrible seasons. The Nationals need to start winning games, but attendance is also about costs, ballpark experience, etc.

@starsstrikesbb There is no large fan base in DC. That’s the problem. DC is a transitory town. People move there with a favorite team already. You only get fans in there rooting for them when they win, that’s it. Even in 2019, you had droves of opp team fans still.

@TalkNats Recognizing the areas that need improvement is one thing, but doing something about it to take prompt corrective action is very positive. It sends the right message and improves the team.

When you consider the Nationals have faced the 3rd toughest strength of schedule (SOS) this season per ESPN, that should also add to how impressive their record is at this point in time. You always want to be improving. The Nats are on pace for a 74-88 record. That sounds encouraging due to an easier schedule ahead.

For the last 15 years, I've never had an entire week of numbers that were all under the diabetes threshold of 140. This week, every number has not only beat that, they've all been under 100. The average is 89.8. Plus I've ridden a Lifecycle 14 miles in 3 of the last 4 days. That makes tonight a perfect opportunity to negate all this good health and smoke a great cigar with a nice aged Diet Mountain Dew while watching a similarly aged WonderBeagle run around the backyard. Might even haul a TV out there and watch the Nationals :)

Ok y’all I’m going to explain this from the kitchens perspective: if you’re coming into our place, don’t even use the menu, and do this? You’re likely to get asked to leave. The menu exists and we have the ingredients the menu, not extra stuff just laying around. If you want to make adjustments to dishes based on allergies, or dietary restrictions? There’s probably something on the menu you for you or we will make accommodations to those dishes. But it is the most disrespectful thing in the world to walk into a restaurant, ask for something completely off menu and not how we prepare it, tell me how cook your food, and deplete our stock of ingredients for other guests. Not to mention, how do we even price it? It’s not in the POS, so it’ll be individually charged so your ‘custom’ bs here will probably be $60. Please don’t do this. Ever.
