@pj_schreiner I'm excited about to get this book when it's available. You've posted a hermeneutics syllabi before, and it was helpful to me (I teach basic hermeneutics for the EFCA). Is this advanced hermeneutics syllabi available online? I love book lists for extra resources for myself!

I was so glad to receive this. It is Vanhoozer's best book on hermeneutics and I was also glad to see someone interacting with the transfiguration in such a helpful way. My Advanced Biblical Hermeneutics seminar is reading through it this semester. Below is my endorsement.

@JaneSchaible The Rise of Evangelicalism from Mark Noll and The Expansion of Evangelicalism by John Wolfe are the top texts I recommend.

@kate_olessker @blondeorthodoxy Also, adding to this idea, women with certain disabilities would be "less woman" if we only use functional categories.

@blondeorthodoxy Wholeheartedly agree. I think we actually diminish the value of women when we do this—we confer value upon the execution of a role/function rather than on the inherent design of women as distinct image bearers. Single/childless women bear the brunt of this devaluation.

In T minus 24 hrs, women of the Midwest District - EFCA will be gathering to learn about interpretation through the lens of context, narrative, and gospel in Acts. We are excited!

@RyGy59 @dougboneparth I've been camping here. The state park areas are nice a nice stop. But it's definitely not nicer than KS. KS roads are 100x better to drive on, and there's more gas stations and stops along the way. There's nearly nada here.
