My 4-year-old son said, "Mummy, why do people make up things that their children have said for social media? Isn't it just inherently dishonest & indicative of inability to construct a compelling narrative themselves?"

A truck loaded with thousands of copies of Roget's Thesaurus spilled its load leaving New York. Witnesses were stunned, startled, aghast, stupefied, confused, shocked, rattled, paralyzed, dazed, bewildered, surprised, dumbfounded, flabbergasted, confounded, astonished, and numbed.

Here’s the problem with this message for young men: it puts all the focus on what the woman is or isn’t doing instead of what we as men ought to be doing. I’ve fallen into this trap myself in the past—hyper-focusing on the failings of women these days as the excuse for not “finding a good woman.” Wrong approach. Here’s the better solution: become the kind of man suitable for a godly woman and a godly woman will gladly submit to your leadership. There’s nothing less manly than micromanaging women instead of bettering yourself as a man.
Right Wing Watch@RightWingWatch

Christian nationalist Joshua Haymes tells young men to find a wife who will "obey you" and "submit to your authority": "You can cure a good godly woman of her feminism if she is willing to obey you."

Meg Basham has spent years looking for specious evidence that everyone she disagrees with is controlled by dark money. Meanwhile three Trump supporting evangelicals have the same apologist tweet that clearly came from a centralized source. I found shepherds for sale lol

@richvillodas Brisket BBQ--It's our thang. (That's how we say "thing" in East Texas). Kansas and Texas BBQ are different species. Of course, I'm partial to brisket bbq.

Had BBQ earlier this week in Fort Worth at a spot called Terry Black’s BBQ. THE BRISKET. GRACIOUS. It was my first time having Texas BBQ. Hard to think it gets better than this.

A vision of masculinity focused on “exercising authority” is much more pagan than it is Christian. (cf. Matt 20:25–28)

It doesn't miss the point. The Lord says that Judah is guilty of a variety of sins: idolatry, arrogance, alliances with foreigners, fortune-tellers, and yes grinding up the poor. But the Lord's specific judgment on them for all these sins is taking away competent men who will lead and replacing them with those who Isaiah and his readers regard as not competent to lead--including boys, infants, and women. Without competent leaders to restrain evil, the nation descends into chaos: Isaiah 3:1-4, 12, "For behold, the Lord GOD of hosts is taking away from Jerusalem and from Judah... the mighty man and the soldier, the judge and the prophet, the diviner and the elder, the captain of fifty and the man of rank... And I will make boys their princes, and infants shall rule over them... My people—infants are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, your guides mislead you and they have swallowed up the course of your paths."

Lifeway has removed any reference to women from its promotion of Jen Wilkin events. Check it out for yourself. The FAQ says men are welcome to attend. This is a shift. One might say a drift. And this is not how most conservative churches understand complementarianism (spare me the semantic debate for now.) I don’t know how people don’t see the feminist agenda at work here. Feminism is the most destructive force in modern society. Pastors must protect their flocks from feminist poison.

In this clip, Super Genius Joel Webbon implies that Mary wasn't reeeeeeeealy Jewish because she's a descendant of Ruth, a Moabite woman. But presuming Luke is Mary's genealogy, Ruth is therefore Mary's 44th great-grandmother, thus making her 0.0000000000057% Moabite.
Mikale Olson@realmikolson

Jake Shields: “I don’t think the Bible ever says Mary is Jewish, does it?” Joel Webbon: “I….ummm….uhhh…. genealogies are very complicated.” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Was gonna ask you younger if you find it offputting for an older woman to follow up a thank you or you have a good day, too, with an endearment as in, “Thanks, Sweetheart.” “You, too, Darlin.” But then I thought if you said yes, I’d probably not be able to stop but I’d feel bad about it.

The older I get in ministry, the less I care about church "style." Instead? I am suspicious of churches that talk about "submitting to authority." They tend to be fear-based. Conversely, churches that lead with extravagant, personal love are so beautiful and enticing to me.

Alright Jesus-loving single women. You can ask a man out. I didn't so much ask as explained 41 years ago that he would go with me to the church Valentine Banquet. Next month, we will celebrate 38 years. If you want, ask that Jesus-loving man out.
Shane Pruitt@shane_pruitt78

Alright Jesus-loving single dudes. It’s NOT the girl’s job to ask you out, that is YOUR JOB. This is great week to get some courage, be a man, and ask that Jesus-loving single girl out on a date.
