Ireland's Christian heritage built our schools, hospitals & identity. Yet in 2025 Catholic primary schools are being removed, daily worship is ruled unlawful in the North, and faith is being stripped from education. Do not doubt that this is deliberate. This is a Christian country. I have no issue with atheists, but we need Christian leadership. Christ is King of the world - he ought to be King of IRELAND as well.

@Mick_O_Keeffe 25% of the population wasn't born in Ireland. My da is buried in Glasnevin and this situation stops me from flying from England to visit there and the family. It's terrifying

10 years ago you could go an entire week without seeing a foreigner in Ireland. 20 years ago you might not see a foreigner at all, ever. That's the Ireland I grew up in, homogeneous. I don't recognise my country anymore.

@liam_acq @conor_pope Same, I’m not spending hours of my life queueing to use those poxy machines. I already recycled them I don’t understand why I should have to queue to do so. If they had community bins to dump them in and whoever wanted the cash could return them I’d support that.

It is over 18 months old now and I wonder what you make of the Re-Turn scheme? Has it been good for us - better plastic recycling, less rubbish or our beaches, in our rivers and everywhere else? Or is it a pain that is costing you money? Or maybe a bit of a mix?
