Proto-Elamite? The Pashupati seal has an elephant, a water buffalo and a rhinoceros. Ancient Elam was centred in southwestern Iran. Elephants, water buffalos and rhinoceroses are not native to ancient Elam. BTW, they are native to India. Also, the figure is seated in a Yogic posture. Is Yoga also Elamite now? Seriously? Your profile says you are a professor. I don't mean to sound rude, but your students deserve a refund. And seriously, Western universities need to improve their hiring practices.

The luckiest batch of UPSC aspirants were probably those who appeared between 2010 and 2022. Post-2023, every UPSC Prelims has come with surprises for aspirants. Nowadays, people blame coaching centres, which honestly isn’t fair. Whether offline or online, almost 90% of coaching institutes give their 100%. But when UPSC suddenly introduces Ethics-type questions in GS Paper 1 and reduces the weightage of Geography – which is also a crucial subject for IFoS aspirants - it clearly shows how unpredictable this exam has become. At this point, UPSC is less about trends and more about adaptability. What do you think the cutoff will be this year? Any guesses? #UPSCPrelims2026
