@AAMortazavi He was in an equal position against Prag, def not prep, and made a piece sac to get a dynamic position where he won. Against Esipenko, it was around -0.8-0.9 far from lost.

Sindarov is a fantastic player but he’s barely played a move, it’s all been prep. The one game he was out of prep he was lost… #chess

@agtblrcs except Gukesh didnt blow anyone away in the Candidates? he got most of his points from bottom half of the participants, unlike Sindarov who just decimated 3 of the biggest candidates.

In Şanlıurfa, Turkey, a newlywed couple asked their wedding guests to bring an orphan each instead of jewelry or gifts. Around 100 orphans attended the celebration and received gifts.

Hikaru is actually blaming his team for the loss against Sindarov: "This game, I can't be mad at myself. This was 100% on the people working for me. I had a file, it didn't have the move castles."

@JBJMMAgoat also, he has been one of the youngest GMs in history and more of a prodigy than Nodirbek. hes not some random 2600 coming out of nowhere. Also has 7-1 lead against Nodirbek in their h2h, interestingly. hes always had it in him.

@Janoff_14 if you look at Sindarovs past results in classical it clearly doesnt add up either he in like 4 months got SO MUCH better than before or hd is cheating

@JBJMMAgoat id suggest watching the games then, buddy, before accusing GMs of cheating. He simply outprepped Fabiano and Hikaru and got them into sharp tactical games without the option to castle safely. thats where hes the best in the world and hes proving it.

@kdnotfound_ @Jon__snow____ @gutsy_gambit Dude, u doin too much now. Its not some random newbie were talking about. Even Arjun crossed it. If he can continue in good form for like 2 tournaments and get +10s. Hes already there. He's already 2780.

@DeadStarLegacy @davidllada @agadmator He could've avoided Sindarovs prep and played a more dubious line. That's a pretty standard practice. I remember Nepo getting Alireza off his prep by playing sub optimal move and ended up beating him. Fabi went with Wei Yis prep too, but then Wei made a blunder and fell apart.

@davidllada @agadmator Playing at this level seems soulless. You play essentially perfectly but still lose. What’s the point?

“There is a reason why I didn’t have a ‘pause the video’ moment in this recap, says @agadmator, and that’s because Fabi made zero mistakes here. Even if you put the game into an engine and analyze it, the engine will tell you that Fabi committed six inaccuracies. That’s it.” youtube.com/watch?v=Z8g1R8…

@Janoff_14 Not likely. Winning in itself is going to be tough. Gukesh is probably already preparing.

If Sindarov manages to win the Candidates. Which based on his form looks like! My take is Gukesh will defend his title. It’s either Caruana or Pragg who possess a threat. #fidecandidates

🇺🇸 Hikaru Nakamura: “If I don’t beat Sindarov, my chances become very slim.” After Round 4 of the 2026 Candidates, Nakamura didn’t hide his frustration. He called the result “very painful” after missing a real winning chance, admitting the bigger mistake was not choosing a more practical continuation to keep the pressure. With so many decisive games early on, and 🇺🇿 Javokhir Sindarov extending his lead—the margin for error is shrinking fast. Looking ahead, Hikaru was clear: “If I don’t win against Sindarov, it’s going to be very, very difficult for me to win the tournament.”

@MemeMadeReality @TzolakiSZN Uzbekistan beat the likes of Qatar, UAE and Iran, retard. They also beat the Egypt 2-0 that just held Spain to a draw. Its a competent team with some good and great players.

@originaldonlee And my comment was mostly targeted at Hikaru who shamelessly participated in mickey mouse tournaments to qualify to candidates. Someone like Nodirbek or Keymer could've been way more of an exciting candidate instead. And my main point is these youngsters are def elite already.

@Janoff_14 Well when you say some you mean Magnus and Hikaru, as a Magnus fan I'm here to tell you that if Magnus still plays the candidate till today none of them are his match we've seen Magnus occasionally in some classical chess showing why he's the GOAT, so what's your excuse?

@originaldonlee Nobody's claiming Magnus is NOT the goat and still the best. But its very likely he loses elo if he plays classical regularly again. His last Wijk wasnt so good either. Lost back to back to Anish and Nodirbek. Hes dominant in faster time controls but not as much in classical
