“Bulk selling” = trading deGrom, Seager and Eovaldi for 3 quality hauls, rebuilding the entire farm system, and officially shifting the window to the Langford/Leiter/Rocker/Walcott era, right? If the offense stays in a coma it’s gonna get really difficult to justify NOT doing this, right?

@reclinernerd 2027 is irrelevant because it won’t happen. They should absolutely be picking up the phone now. Do they have to sell at the point, no, but they should absolutely be having those conversations. If someone wants to give up 2 top 100 prospects for. Degrom then u absolutely do it!!

So I stirred up a lot of fluff over my 162-0 post yesterday. The responses were exactly what I intended. Here is the deal. I am not panicking yet and neither should you. That was my point. Here are the facts. The Rangers roster is set for 2027 right now. Every starting pitcher and bat in the lineup is signed until at least 2027 except for Joc Pederson. So where does that leave 2026? I am not sure and neither are the Rangers 45 games in. They haven't played like a World Series contender, but they are by no means out of the picture. The AL West is easily winnable. In 2023 the Rangers limped into the playoffs before going on that run. The Rangers are far from out of it at just 2 games back. They cannot compete with the offense performing like they have. Yet they aren't horrible. They work counts and get on base. They are not slugging and getting the big hit. They left 13 on base yesterday. Doesn't it have to change at some point? Should they sell or buy? Who knows yet. But my guess is that the answer will be obvious. They will either go all on or have fire sale. I don't think they stand pat. Anyway, maybe they won't lose another game this year. It all starts today. #allfortx

@JaredSandler It means, I respect your opinion but my opinion is this team isn’t good. Maddux was the sauce and the offense has been really bad for a while. Now the defense can’t field a ground ball and only the homers can’t see it.

@JansenYarbrough jd helped build the foundation for 2023 and cy made some great moves that year, too. jd is a great gm. mike is a great pc. but i can assure you this isn't a jerry/jimmy thing. cy didn't want jd out. mike wanted a change. the rangers offered him a contract.

If the Rangers weren’t going to go all out for it and spend money this offseason the only alternative option was to trade Seager, DeGrom, Eovaldi, everyone and rebuild. They did neither and here we are again. Now we are stuck in the same cycle. We will be within 8 games of first place at the deadline and be told about how “competitive” CY is and so we will trade 8-9 of our best prospects, what’s left of them, for a couple relievers and a backup outfielder. And round and round we go. #allfortx

@NewbergReport I love my team too. But they just aren’t very good. Havent been for years, with the exception of a couple months in 23. It looks more and more like JD was the master mind and CY rode his coat tail. Maddux was the special sauce for the pitching and we still can’t hit.

You guys are pissed. I get it. I really do. But man, I love this team. Hard times are challenging to fight through, but it’s what makes the great times exponentially better. Hang in there.
