THE WASHINGTON POST: The SAVE America Act would have turned Nevada and New Mexico into safe Trump states during 2024 election. Trump won Nevada narrowly, lost New Mexico by 6%. WaPo says that requiring U.S. citizenship and a photo ID to vote would deliver a clear advantage to the GOP. In other words, WaPo all but outright admits that Dems cheat and that an enormous number of non-citizens are voting.

@DanielDavis83 If the merger would have been lawful, the merger would have proceeded. But who cares about the law right?

I’m not sure I follow the semantics argument. The Biden administration’s DOJ filed suit to block the merger, and that’s what led to the judge’s ruling. Without their intervention, the deal would have proceeded. That’s the straightforward reality here. But something tells me you don’t live in reality.

Since the paid MAGA influencer losers are executing their marching orders on this Spirit story, let’s inject some reality. The Biden administration didn’t stop any Spirit mergers. The issue went to trial and a judge ruled that a Jet Blue/Spirit merger violated US antitrust laws, and would likely increase prices on consumers. The courts ruled, correctly, that the merger violated the law and would hurt Americans. So, fellow Americans: what MAGA is really saying is they don’t give a shit about the law, and they don’t give a shit if you had to pay more to fly. politico.com/news/2024/01/1…

@Noka1968 True, it would probably be about 36.000 people without a job and several thousand more stranded passengers.

@DanielDavis83 Well as a matter of fact the Biden administration didn't stop the merger, as it was the judge that did stop it as it was the judge that deemed the merger against the law, not the Biden administration

@tommysantos14 @BK_McCallum @libsoftiktok You’re the joke. Dude literally says the Biden admin didn’t stop the merger then goes on to say they were the ones that brought them to court. You can’t make this level of stupid up.

@Autobus6988 Except bringing a lawsuit doesn't do anything at all except for a judge to look at the facts and the law. And it seems like the judge looked at the facts and the law and ruled the merger would be against the law.

@micyoung75 Man how's that worthless college so-called diploma going for you now I'm a high school grad and I just put together a case that would more than likely let a very good talented prosecutor put that man away for 20 years to life.

James Comey saw a photo on social media of seashells arranged to read "86 47." He shared it. He said he assumed it was a political message - that someone wanted to vote out the 47th president. He deleted it when people told him others associated the numbers with violence. He said explicitly: "I oppose violence of any kind." He has now been indicted for it. This is Comey's second indictment from the Trump Justice Department. The first - charging him with lying to and obstructing Congress related to 2020 testimony about an investigation - was dismissed in court after a judge ruled the prosecutor who brought it was illegally appointed. The first case fell. DOJ brought another one. Over a beach photo. Merriam-Webster, the AP notes, defines "86" as slang for throwing out or refusing service, with a note that an extension of the term to mean "to kill" exists but is sparse enough in usage that the dictionary does not formally enter it. Trump told Fox News in May that "a child knows what that meant." This is the same DOJ that Blanche told CNN last week had "not done enough to support MAGA," setting up his case for the permanent attorney general position. This is the same week the White House used an official briefing room to name Democratic politicians as moral co-conspirators in a shooting. This is the same pattern that produced the Letitia James prosecution - dismissed twice - and the three separate grand juries that refused to return charges. The seashells are the point. The point is the process.

@PlanetEarth71 With this DOJ I would ask myself the question what did they actually tell the Grand Jury they need to prove. Because this DOJ seems to have a habit of misrepresenting the law.

The truth is, 1 man is to blame, and it's not Trump. Average price per gallon by president: Obama ('09-'16) - $2.00 - $4.11 Trump ('17-'21) - $1.99 - $3.36 Biden ('21-'25) - $2.68 - $5.82 Trump ('25-pres) - $3.49 - $5.50 The real reason it hurts to pay at the pump isn't the rising cost of fuel, it's the devaluation of the dollar. Our government has not had a balanced budget for 25 years. You could absorb the current fuel price if our government wasn't taxing us to hell and spending our money hand over fist. With all that aside, personal accountability needs to return. If you buy a $60k truck and make $900+ a month payments + insurance, that is a personal choice. If you need that $60k truck in order to work and can not afford it, that is called a bad business model. If you failed to calculate for fluctuating fuel costs, that is also no one else's fault but your own. Fuel prices rise and fall with each president. They will also increase over time. The next president will see higher highs and lows as well. I understand this is not a popular take, but let's consider who is really to blame here... It's not Trump's fault that you can't afford to drive a Duramax. The truth is, 1 man is to blame, and it's not Trump. It's you, me, and every other man who had their heads up their butts while our government ran wild with our money. Still, they will convince you it's his fault so that they can keep screwing you over while they make 17,000% returns on the stock market while they are holding congressional seats. Put the blame where it belongs.

@SMCamb68 Yeah that Bam isn't the bam you think, because in order to be a true threat as the government interprets it they have to prove intent and on the whole indictment you don't find it. They rely on "reasonable person" interpretation and that has been struck down by SCOTUS already

@JeffBates_451F Correct. You don't need 35,000 people to run an airport. Well done for noticing that, something your governments have clearly not noticed all the years the "airport" has been operational. Or, now hear me out, what you said was pretty stupid. Take all the time you need, Jeff...

Something a lot of people don't see. Trump thinks US troops in Germany are there to protect Germany. They're not. They're there because the US needs the bases to be able to carry out US operations beyond the north American continent. Trump doesn't understand this basic fact.
Rep. Don Bacon 🇺🇸✈️🏍️⭐️🎖️@RepDonBacon

The continued attacks on NATO allies are counterproductive. The comments hurt Americans. I commanded the huge Ramstein AB in Germany. The two big airfields in Germany give us great access in three continents. We are shooting ourselves in our own feet.

@ChristineI220 @tedcruz The map was passed with bipartisan approval. 23 of 29 republicans in the house vote for it, 2 of the 3 senators voted in favour. The GOP only had candidates in 2 of the 9 districts, so 7 they couldn't win from the beginning as there was no GOP candidate to vote for

@micah_erfan CT is in fact gerrymandered. Is it the worst ever? Not really but in a state where the GOP has received 40 to 45% of the vote in POTUS and Gubernatorial elections to have no Republican representation in Congress is because gerrymandering
