Jeremy Burnett was released on felony probation February 3rd. Two days later, a Burnet County court found his bond insufficient on a separate felony drug case and issued a warrant. He was already a fugitive when Travis County let him walk. March 11th: trooper spots the stolen plates on South Lamar. Burnett floors it. After a PIT maneuver, he reverses into the patrol car, bails out and runs. Six Taser probes bring him down. His Travis County record includes: • 12+ cases • Meth possession -- probation • Stolen vehicle -- probation • Felony drug possession -- dismissed • Bonds revoked 3 times • 0 jury trials
