@BaldMove Since Cincinnati is pretty close to the path of totality, it might be a good excuse for more out-of-towners like us to make the trip. Just a thought! Thanks for all you do! #baldlunch 2/2

@BaldMove My wife and I are long-time listeners and wish we could have made it to #BadassFestV. It looked like a blast! Looking ahead to next year, is there any potential for a Bald Move event or meetup the weekend before the total eclipse on April 8, 2024? #baldlunch 1/2

@eyelessish @gruber I also regularly option click the maximize button to make a window fill the screen, without entering full screen mode. Option clicking it again returns the original to its previous size and location.

@gruber Didn’t know the second one. Also just holding down option key and clicking the yellow button is what I do every day to minimise all windows for an app. And less often option+red button to close all windows.

Two Mac tips: You probably know ⌘M will minimize any window to the Dock. You might not know ⌘⌥M will minimize all windows in the current app. Conversely, holding down Option while clicking a minimized window in the Dock will un-minimize all windows from that app.

@JoshReedSchramm @mgsiegler Aw, that’s a bummer. Big Fun (and a Tommy’s milkshake) were staples of my trips to Coventry while I was at Case.

@caseyliss @AnyListApp Alexa has its own copy of the list, so the item showing up in the Alexa list is correct. It sounds like our server is not being notified of the change. Can you double check the Alexa switch for that list is enabled on the List Settings screen in AnyList? help.anylist.com/articles/selec…

@AnyListApp No, sorry, have meant to email you. It seems like the Echo is adding things to its own internal list of the same name, rather than AnyList. This seemed to coincide with roughly the time that icons were added to lists, but that may be a red herring.

@AnyListApp did something with Alexa integration break? Perhaps coincident with adding icons to lists? I’ve tried un-linking and re-linking and Alexa is either denying on account of already being there (which isn’t true) or adding only to find it isn’t actually in AnyList.

@peterb Don’t replace it with an LG fridge. They’ve been using an unreliable compressor for years (ours just failed after 5 years). We paid to have ours repaired, but for a new fridge the repair guy recommended Whirlpool or GE, which lines up with Wirecutter. classaction.org/lg-refrigerato…

@buzz I’m so sorry. Losing such a constant companion is hard enough on its own, but this is beyond heartbreaking. I feel for you and hope remembering all the happy times you had together gives some comfort. I always enjoyed & will genuinely miss his periodic appearances in my timeline.

I guess I might as well mention that this week we had to put down the dog we’ve had for twelve years. It was completely unexpected, and because of COVID we weren’t even allowed to be present. He was a beautiful soul, and I miss him enormously. The world feels cosmically dark.

My response to Apple re: their continuing rejections of HEY. The discussion has revolved around money, but this is not about money - it’s about choice, and it’s about how we want to take care of our own customers. This is important: hey.com/apple/iap/

@jmissig We also still try to get take-out from our favorite restaurants a couple of times per week, either picking it up ourselves or using Door Dash. I have pretty mixed feelings on them as a company, but it seems like they're doing some good things at the moment blog.doordash.com/supporting-loc…

@jmissig As for delivery services that respect their workers, I'm not sure, but maybe doing an online order and picking up at the store (e.g. Safeway's Drive Up & Go service) is the best option?
