@ChrisHerrington Chris curious if you could envision a structure involving Sheppard on the HOU side?

Morant (Landale/Konchar) for Rollins/Portis (Kuzma contract) is a deal I’ve wondered about since November. Rollins trade eligible next week. If the Bucks wanted to take a big swing to keep Giannis, a buy-low gamble on Ja is pretty big.

@ChrisHerrington what is the theoretical Ja trade you teased on the show but didnt want to discuss earlier this week. Would love to hear it

@membtv Fixed at five relics, no extra neutral gold and a bias toward an open version of arabia would be my votes.

@StatsSAC 1000% this. One of the most disappointing non Ja nuttiness aspects of this season so far.

Halves in which JJJ has played 15 plus minutes with 5 or less shot attempts: Last year: 7 times in 148 total halves This year: 5 times in 14 total halves If Ja is struggling, you have to feature Jaren. There is no excuse for him to average less than 15 shots a game

@ChrisHerrington I mean surely something happened during halftime itself no? I know we don’t know for sure but seems bizarre otherwise.

@PerBylund @lexfridman Not to mention ofc that the economy was far from laissez faire headed into and through the Depression i.e., the money supply was Fed managed.

What I really dislike about the above @lexfridman clip is the underlying assumption that economics is not about understanding the world but about shaping society. It's a very progressive assumption that fits poorly with the history of economic thought. It's fine to claim, as Fridman and Burns do, that the Austrians are the most radical laissez-faire (as they put it), but not without saying why. They make it sound like economics is all about political ideology. Of course perspective, including politics, plays a role for economists (those who "do economics"), but it doesn't mean their arguments or theories are therefore fundamentally biased. But that's in effect what both Fridman and Burns assume. Perhaps without knowing it...?

I'm not sure what time period this refers to (1930s?), but are really Milton Friedman and FA Hayek accurately portrayed? From the Lex Fridman podcast: "The Austrians and the Chicago school see economic prosperity and growth comes from individual initiative, individual entrepreneurship, private sources. The private market is what drives economic growth, not the public sector. And so, for Friedman, then, the question is, what is the government's role? And because he's lived through the Great Depression he's not laissez faire and he won't ever be laissez faire, and interestingly Hayek, living through the Great Depression, at first is laissez faire and he's like, 'sure, let it rip,' and things get so bad that Hayek's like, 'okay, that's not going to work.'" -- Jennifer Burns youtube.com/watch?v=Thu62e…

@ChrisHerrington Chris what about Eason? I’m assuming the answer here is that HOU would have no interest but wasn’t sure.

After Bane trade, the Grizzlies suddenly have bountiful assets -- fungible contracts, future draft picks, financial room -- to reshape their team, but an extended window to do it. Deal now, deal later or split the baby? I look over the landscape. dailymemphian.com/subscriber/sec…
