@ScottJund The gameplay itself overstaying it's welcome is going to be in large part based on how engrossed you were in the story, atmosphere, characters. If those things don't keep your attention the whole time then the minute to minute gameplay in any survival horror will wear thin

Also despite enjoying it a lot there's no way Silent Hill 2 deserves GOTY IMO. Despite excellent performances, story, and sound design, the actual "game" part Is extremely repetitive and overstays it's welcome really fast. Still a great game, just not GOTY.

Television shows often need more than 1 season to grow and development. Take a look at Breaking Bad - one of the greatest shows ever, but it took its time to really grip you and needed more than 1 season to do that. The same for The Clone Wars. Season 1 had a number of rough patches, but, with time, it grew into one of the most compelling Star Wars stories of all time. A shame The Acolyte wasn’t given the same opportunity.

@melancholyRuler @egghamm_ That kind of content happens in every game like this. People naturally wanting to win and be competitive and find the best shit to use against people and optimize their builds and playstyles will happen regardless of streamers. People will play sweaty anyways.

@egghamm_ I've had the opinion for awhile now that winstreak content has done irreversible damage to this game and it's players. I don't think it's healthy for the game or people's mental to play as hard as possible every single match in public games.

I hate winstreaks across the board but the reason this game is FOR ME IN MY OPINION PERSONALLY FROM MY PERSPECTIVE AND POINT OF VIEW in shambles is because people think anything but a 4K is a devastating embarrassing loss. It’s why killers play like there’s $ on the line.

Switching the Killers win conditions to hooks instead of kills would not fix any problems the game has and would make killer way more miserable. You would essentially get punished for Survivors going next having to hold their hands making sure they don't want to leave prematurely You could literally remake Dowsey's video and call it "Hooks=Skill" Have people really forgotten how miserable Killer Adepts used to be because they required 9 hooks? That does not mean that Kills by itself is very good either, the problem requires a more complex solution
