CF: Mad Scientist, Update 1, Wholehaul [Rolling…: Full Storage: Modded Fallout] [Perk Purchased Automatically: -400] Bank: -400 — Ten years! TEN FREAKING YEARS BEFORE I FIGURED OUT THIS THING WASN'T A GAME PROP! Damn it! On one hand, USBs are ancient in this universe, much less a simple tether hookup like the one this pip boy required. Is this why I haven't been gaining Celestial Forge points despite knowing that I have it? My life has been extremely depressing in this world, I mean, it's not as bad as it would be back home in the same circumstances. But I'm homeless, and just trying to make it by. I ruffled my hair, the fact that it was green at birth has finally worn off. Wait, no it hasn't, I'm still freaking thinking about it! "Haaa." I groaned aloud. There was a shuffle, and I focused on it, twas Tom. "Truth, you ok?" "Could be freakin better. Good news though, those tech scrapping lessons are great." Considering I was able to make a laptop out of scrap from the scrapyard thanks to Tom's teachings, yeah. Things are better. "Good, you up for a job then? WholeHaul could use your help." I rolled my eyes slightly, couldn't help it. WholeHaul, the super villain is a homeless guy just like me, and his name was Tom! It is slightly amusing. Alright. "Fine." "Wait… really?" His eyes were widened a bit. "You've never tried to help before." With a shrug, I got up and stored my pipboy, while disabling my scrap laptop, putting it all into the small area designated as mine by Tom. "I have to start workin to pay ya back for taking me in eventually. Plus, it turns out your scrapwork classes are just what I needed to get started." "Good! Knew you'd come around eventually, we have a meeting in two hours to discuss the plan." He said grinning like a Madman, I mean. Technically he is slightly insane. I wonder what the job is? Probably robbing something or reducing a building to rubble. "This time Captain Moral won't stop me!" — The homeless encampment, built by WholeHaul was actually pretty small. It had three levels, I was based on the second. The third was for newcomers, and the first was WholeHauls base. Technically it was the basement, but due to the disguise of the second and third levels no one actually knew that. I actually ran into Tom by saving his life four years ago. Was an accident, but man I'm glad I did. Good thing I know a little CPR. There was about sixty people who lived here. I'm not sure how many are actually a part of Tom's crew. Originally I was just walking about for around six years after waking up as a teen in the middle of an alley. Not sure how old I actually am biologically, I still look like a green haired toothpick. Honestly a welcome change from looking like a bowling ball. It's a lot easier to prevent weight gain than lose weight. So this was definitely cheating to go from two hundred and fifty pounds to a hundred and forty in an instant. The problem with it was that starving sucked! Luckily, I was smart enough to know the cheapest and most filling food you could buy, so with a bit of begging, and a few generous people I was able to live on tons of rice and beans. With that I was able to gain a bit of weight so my ribs weren't showing anymore. Was also able to build a small group that helped me, even though they hated rice and beans, it was better than nothing. Especially when the soup kitchen was closed. Had easy access to water at least. So, I trained. For a long time. I knew I had access to the Celestial Forge, at least the pip boy I constantly had on me was a good hint. Even though I had started to believe it was merely a toy cause I couldn't get the damn thing working. Didn't realize that the storage was full until today. Heh. How do I even earn celestial forge points. Hmm, if I remember from the stories I read correctly the Celestial Forge accelerates its growth in conflict. So… maybe this is what I need to do. Sure, becoming a villain's henchman might not be the best thing. But it gives me a start. It puts me in the conflict. Which will hopefully start giving me points and I can finally become something more. Time to play cops and robbers. — "I'm happy to welcome a new member of the team, give a warm welcome to Truth!" I don't know why I gave up on correcting it from Truth to True. I grinned, and waved. "I knew you'd come around eventually Truth!" Jackson, Tom's best friend spoke and gave me a bear hug…. I struggled, "Jack you are crushing me!" He let go and scratched the side of his head sheepishly. "Ah, sorry Truth, was a bit excited." Damn he is a bear of a man. "Welcome," He pauses and gestures dramatically, "to the Haul!" There were nine people here. I'm going to be the tenth it looks like. WholeHaul, Tom spoke, "Truth, you know most of us by name, you know Jackson and Evelyn, but you don't know the Haul as a total. Jackson here is my side man, Hustler!" I made it a point to ignore Jackson as he posed. "Evelyn, the Junkwitch!" The redhead giggled. Crazy lady, I remember her almost stabbing me a week ago. "Anton the Arsoman!" So that is why he always smells like sulfur. "Meriwinkle and Heavenly, the twin terrors, Rampage and Hardlock!" I pinned a glance on Hardlock, he was the tech guy that got pass firewalls for this group, honestly I was wanting to know who that was for a while, been a dream to be a programmer. "Unfortunately the others do not have villain names yet, haven't qualified for them yet. But these are your fellow henchs, Howard, Michael, and Ashley! Congratulations, you are now WholeHauls fourth henchman! Welcome Truth!" [CP Gained: 50] I grinned even wider. "I'm happy to join up!" The Celestial Forge was active again! Freaking YES! [CP Gained: 10]
