First videos of Ukrainian “Flamingo” missile launches have emerged. The video was published by Ukrainian outlet Dzerkalo Tyzhnia. The outlet also reports that the missile has a 1,150 kg warhead and a 3,000 km range. It claims the missiles have already been used

Cannot believe we're doing discourse about "was slavery an economic good" but it is pretty commonly accepted among many current historians that slavery was not actually beneficial economically to the country as a whole.

@dcyimbys @mattyglesias A good compromise would be repealing the height act outside of the l’enfant city. There is no compelling federal interest in how the city builds outside the core, and it would open up a few spots (RFK, Friendship Heights) for dense development.

The conventional wisdom is that the Height Act is only a constraint downtown, but it's increasingly becoming an issue in other parts of the district.
RFK development likely to be hindered as well.

@TheStalwart Yes, because that wouldn’t be viewpoint discrimination, it would be a time/place/manner regulation put in place for health and safety reasons (lower bar for the govt to meet). But I’m sure there are real first amendment lawyers who follow you and could actually answer this.

Let’s say (hypothetically) we were able definitely prove, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that some form of communication or media was frying our brains and ruining society. Would that matter, given that we still have the first amendment?

i'm not normally one for censorship, but any society that wishes to thrive needs to ban short form video content unfortunately this doesn't poll well, so nothing will be done about it
