Well, Christ Himself explained why divorce was permitted under Moses. However He did not address polygamy in the Gospel. He only expressed the ideal, that a man should be faithful to one wife, which is also expressed in the early chapters of Genesis. Is this guy indeed only "polyamorous" with women even?
