Over the last few months I've been investigating and embedding myself in General Strike US (GSUS) and the network of orgs operating alongside it.
What I found isn't speculation. It's from their organizing channels, their internal materials, and their own public words.
Stated tactics:
Withhold labor
Withhold and redistribute federal taxes
Rent strikes
Boycott major corporations
Stated goal: 11 million signed Strike Cards. Then pull the trigger.
Stated ideology, from their January 2026 newsletter: "No bosses. No landlords. No colonizers." They describe it as building power to replace capitalism, not reform it.
50501 supplies the streets. Indivisible, MoveOn, Women's March, and Color of Change feed the broader coalition. GSUS is the economic arm.
Protests get headlines. Coordinated labor, rent, and tax shutdowns break the system that pays for everything else.
