@ashleeeeean This is why we get upwards of 400 applications a week for free therapy. It’s no affordable for anyone.

And before someone says anything, my new insurance doesn’t kick in till July 1st. I am thankful I have amazing insurance. But think about the streamers without it, who get harassed for not wearing enough makeup on stream. And only make $2500 a month with twitch 50/50 🤡

Some insight on Mental Health without insurance. •1 hour Therapy. $130 •20minute call with psychiatrist for medication refill. $150 •30 Day Prescription $125. For someone without insurance, a month of mental health support cost $405+ MH should be more affordable

@AnisaTheGreasy Terrifying to imagine. The US is spending $4.5t a year on health care, but 44% of people on private insurance are functionally uninsured, one of every three people are in medical debt, and 62% of bankruptcies are related to medical costs.

What’s even more scary is I’m hearing Albertans saying they WANT to privatize healthcare. Don’t be stupid, if you’re Canadian and you vote for privatization you’re actively voting against your constitutional rights as a Canadian. Yes, it’s written into our constitutional rights.

Do you know how strange it is to walk out of a doctors office free of charge, for a procedure that previously cost me 4K six months prior. The only difference was wether or not I was on American soil.
