The federal government, Westbank and TELUS have announced three new AI data centres in B.C., including two in Vancouver; one at West Georgia and Beatty, and the second in Mt. Pleasant. It's a multibillion-dollar investment in Canadian data sovereignty and our city. #vanpoli

This is correct. #Vancouver looks the way it does because city residents & activists blocked a plan to build a freeway along Beach ave. Also stopped the 4 seasons hotel from building towers at the entrance of Stanley Park. Point is, we’ve done it before, we can do it again.

Vancouver historically has been very good at blocking new projects of all kinds. Over the years, this city’s nimbys have said no to bridges, transit expansions, highways, public housing, big box stores, the very notion of “density.” We can 100% shut this down

Peter is a Vancouver City councillor. He has his job — one that gives him power and pays him well — because people loaned him their vote four years ago. I hope they take it back this fall. It costs nothing to be kind. #vanpoli

“We cannot continue to expand fossil fuel infrastructure and hit our climate goals.” -David Eby, 2022 This man’s descent from progressive to corporate conservative underscores the profound toxicity of power. #bcpoli

Approval of the Sunrise natural gas expansion project is good news for BC jobs. It will also strengthen BCs role as an engine for a more independent Canadian economy – delivering affordable energy people rely on and powering growth in major industries. cbc.ca/news/canada/ca…

COPE, OneCity, and the Vancouver Greens have agreed to avoid splitting the progressive vote in October’s #vanpoli election! 🗳️ Except, there are 10 city council seats… and 15 progressive candidates on the ballot from the COPE/OneCity/Greens alliance? 🤔 You do the math 🧮

Vancouver should become the next home of a Major League Baseball team. With the MLB publicly expressing interest in expansion in the near future, we see an opportunity to position our city as the next home for a franchise. This could be an opportunity to bring something truly special to Vancouver. An MLB team would be a significant step forward for our city and would create lasting memories for fans across generations.
