There are only 25 days left in the year and House Republicans still have no plan to extend the ACA tax credits. If they fail, millions will face crushing costs. This is not politics. It is real life. A retired 62-year-old teacher told me his bill will rise seven hundred dollars a month. He may take early Social Security just to get by. A 51-year-old mom of two said her family’s costs will double to more than fifty thousand dollars a year. She is considering going without care and risking bankruptcy. A 60-year-old shared that her premiums will jump from about three hundred to more than fourteen hundred a month. She does not know how she will cover food, rent, and health care. This is insanity. I will keep fighting to extend these credits and protect access to affordable, quality care for every family.

@SenatorShaheen I don't believe you. You abandoned those of us with ACA insurance to no health care.

For years I’ve led the effort to put in place the ACA enhanced premium tax credits. No one in the Senate wants to extend these more than me. This deal is our best path to get that done.

Without extending discounts on health care premiums, a family of four making $140,000 in Senators Marsha Blackburn’s and Bill Hagerty’s state of Tennessee will go from paying $992 in 2025 to $2,802 in 2026.

@SciFiHeroine @carareinard I do leave it to the clients and their goals but I hope they at least want to try medium pubs. And many authors have had less than great support from a Big 5. Getting Big 5 doesn't mean you'll be a best seller.

@Michelle4Laughs @carareinard My former agent submitted two of my books only to the Big 5, before shelving both of them. Thanks for being willing to try alternatives for your authors!

I saw it said here that 95% of books die on submission. Not sure if that meant submission to an agent or submission by an agent, but less than 30% of my submissions for clients have been shelved. I've shelved 3 adult projects and one was because their 2nd book sold first.
