@Prof_Bruckner @KinseyAndrew @hannnahmmarie @tonymcwony @PrawfBainbridge I'm late to the discussion, but as @Prof_Bruckner said I've been asked by NYU (and Stanford). It's hard to balance peer review with student selection. When I e-mailed Stanford about their deadline (they gave a week), they said the paper had already been picked up elsewhere.

@ronlieber @dougwebberecon I suspect private lending would dry up if all BK restrictions were removed. There'd be too many examples of students walking the graduation stage with a diploma in one hand and a bankruptcy petition in the other

@dougwebberecon Fascinating. No one is actually proposing that it be that easy -- in part because maybe more people would file for BK if it was. So, hard to predict. Some proposals want a 5-7 year waiting period before discharge could happen. @JasonIuliano?
