Stats don’t lie Jason. Team regressed HEAVILY under him last year. They won 3+ games TWICE, won exactly 50% of their games in the regular season, the Oilers had the WORST on-ice goal share with McDavid/Draisitl on the bench since 2016-17. He was called out TWICE.

Frank Seravalli was on Edmonton Sports 1440 this morning and said Vegas is taking their sweet time giving the Oilers permission to speak with former Knights coach Bruce Cassidy. Seravalli also said other coaches around the league have texted him saying this has gone way too far from Vegas.

If my math is correct Oilers have roughly 16 million in cap space going into free agency. If the following contracts are close in price that would leave Oilers with roughly 5.35 mil. A significant upgrade is possible.
