When we wanted a computer to play games on my brother and I got a Commodore 64 as a joint Christmas present. Again, we got games at birthdays or Xmas. Or if we saved up.
I remember what a big deal it was when we got a VCR, then a hifi. We never had anything like Sky TV.

I was young in the 80s/90s in the UK.
I don’t remember my parents ever going out to eat, except when we were on holiday (in the UK).
I don’t think they ever took me to a fast food restaurant, or ordered takeaway food.
People today have no clue how working people lived.

Boomers seem to forget that fast food used to be a normal, everyday expense for them because it was affordable. You could get a burger easily on minimum wage, it wasn’t some fancy treat you had once a year as a reward for pulling yourself up by your bootstraps.

@KaptainKrunch97 Honestly this is a little TOO realistic for me. In an action game I want to be entertained like it's a John Wu movie (heavy inspiration for Max Payne).
Save this kind of thing for the military simulators like the next ArmA game.

When the Euphoria ragdoll physics engine was used back in Grand Theft Auto IV, Star Wars The Force Unleashed, Max Payne 3 and Red Dead Redemption, I thought this was going to be the next evolution
Then came GTAV which neutered the hell out of the ragdolls. In RDR2 it was passable but still left a lot to be desired.
Bodycam unironically is the only game I’ve seen that takes what the Euphoria engine did and vastly improve upon it and put it into a shooter. These are the ragdolls i wanted in Tarkov, Ready or Not, and any given hardcore shooter.

Finished Mixtape. Yeah not "finished" so much as experienced it. Super light on "gameplay" more about the overall, well, *vibe*.
It knew what it was and delivered some of those feels on what it's like to be a teenager. Friends, uncertainty, etc...

Even if people make extensive mods from this, it's just free market research for Konami. They get to see what worked and didn't work. They also get to see how popular the mod is, and can project sales if they did their own.

If you haven’t seen today’s news, it’s rocked the modding community in a big way.
Earlier today Lance McDonald shared on X, “The entire source code and all assets for Metal Gear Solid 2 HD just leaked on 4chan,” likely tied to Armature Studio’s work on the Vita port.
And this goes far beyond just the HD version.
Our own MGN moderator and modder, @Afevis , whose contributions to the MGS2 and MGS3 modding scene speak for themselves (MGSHDFix) shared some early insight:
“It’s not just the HD versions in the dump, it’s the full source code for the PS2 / Xbox / PC versions, everything up to Vita. The original E3 trailer script files are here. The cut Tanker water-escape sequence. 9/11 censored scripting. Internal file editors & tooling, etc.”
When asked if there were more assets from the pre-9/11 build, he added:
“It does. At a brief glance, Arsenal Gear -> Manhattan crash stuff was censored by simply commenting out code. Likewise, there’s E3 / Demo assets. HD version was definitely made from OG source, not 100% reverse engineered as people misinterpret from old Bluepoint Games interviews.”
Modders are still digging through everything, but the implications are massive. This could mean restoring cut content, uncovering unseen material, and gaining a much deeper understanding of how the game was built.
On top of that, it gives the community more tools to preserve and refine these games going forward.
If even part of this holds true, this is a huge unexpected moment for the scene.

She freaked out & ran after him & said she wouldn’t do it again & apologized. She’s been true to her word, they eventually got married. They’ve been together for like 15+ years now.

@AlejomexG 2024-now he's been playing Deadlock. He just doesn't stream or make a big deal out of it. He's Eturnus 4 (nearly the highest rank in the game) and mostly plays Celeste and Holliday.
Even Before Deadlock came out of NDA he was in the test. That's all I know on recent Phoon

@dark1x @VisualFidelity Absolutely. A single player campaign, and hell add co-op like the Halo games of old with interesting and highly repayable challenge modifiers and we've got ourselves a stew going.
I'm sure the devs would've loved to do that. But the men it suits have other plans, as always.
