@EverCarradine May I chime in? Why must actors pay for @imdbpro to add a current headshot? Why must @ActorsAccess charge for breakdowns? (I never see anything high profile) As well as “submit audition”? Why must EcoCast charge for sides??? I feel for young actors starting out.

Just saw an ad on my instagram for a respected casting director’s office offering self tape opportunities for a fee. If we can go to casting and tape, can’t we just go to casting and actually read without paying $50 an audition?

My buddy is casting four roles in an indie film, the first week of submissions by age of role looks like this: 18-30: 3700 submissions 30-40: 1200 submissions 40-50: 172 submissions 60-80: 16 submissions So, uh, if this is what you REALLY wanna do, maybe don’t quit just yet.

When Fox sought to recast Simpsons cast, no reasonable VA touched that - knowing very well that an impression alone, minus the prowess of the original actors, would fail the characters and the audience.

My 2 cents to the fab @RickandMorty team: Instead of seeking an exact voice match, IE: impression - seek something more unique that will level up your characters. - Think about it. Would be very easy for Rick and Morty to have a completely dif sound and still be canon.
