Watch as this river otter hauls her morning catch to the bank for a hard earned breakfast. Otters are surprisingly picky eaters. They prefer slower, bottom dwelling fish, not out of laziness but pure efficiency. They also tend to eat headfirst, targeting the fattiest, most calorie dense parts of the fish first.

July is National Bison Month! Here's a bull at Rocky Mountain Arsenal enjoying a good ol' wallowing. Wallowing looks like a good time, and it is, but it's also pest control, coat shedding, and during rut, a dominance display all rolled (hah) into one. Over time those same wallows carve depressions into the prairie that fill with rainwater and become wetland habitat for insects, amphibians, and birds. A bison rolls in the dirt and accidentally builds an ecosystem!

We should all strive to live one life, on or off camera (social media). Unless your an actor and pretending is a job, then it would be ok. Pretending, without it being a job, is like polytheism. Having different identifying characteritics to what you could call the god(s) in yourself. Having one true self, one way, one path, helps clarify a lot of different things. I know it may feel good to "pretend", but that brings about more work that's not necessary. One main goal for humans is to make things less relevant, not necessary make more things more relevant that may not be real, that burns more glucose in the brain.
