@GlobalWatchClub It was also glorious to watch all the flippers waiting in line for hours and even days, only to end up not getting goods to flip and getting smacked around by each other.

What's my take on the Swatch x Audemars Piguet drop? First off, that pocket watch is a hard pass. If I absolutely had to choose one, it’s the black and white model all day. The rest of the colourways honestly look like they belong in a Happy Meal. Let’s be real: 99% of the hype is just people losing their minds over seeing "Audemars Piguet" on a plastic dial. It's a great shortcut for anyone desperate to flex an ultra-luxury name without spending much. That’s the main reason we saw insane crowds and stores shutting down on release day. It’s wild how a non-limited edition plastic watch is going for more than retail on the secondary market. It just proves how desperate people are for luxury tags. For the cash people are dropping on resale, you could buy a genuinely fantastic, durable watch that you can actually WEAR. That being said, you have to give Swatch their flowers. Their marketing team deserves a raise. They pulled in billions of views and sold out in minutes. Plus, it’s undeniably bringing millions of new eyes to the hobby and getting a younger generation into watches, which is always a win. Ultimately, Swatch just pulled off the biggest release ever. The only collab that could ever top this level of hype is if they somehow convince Rolex to join the circus.

Giga Texas has a new “mystery” car under a cover & the wheels also masked off with white vinyl. Fortunately I was able to get a top-down view of this one next to another Model Y & a @Cybertruck for comparison. Any ideas what this might be? 😎

The A. Lange & Söhne Langematik Perpetual ref. 310.050E is already one of the most quietly impressive perpetual calendars ever made, but this version changes everything. Honey Gold isn’t just a color - it’s a proprietary Lange alloy with a tone that sits somewhere between yellow and rose gold. It's actually harder than standard 18k gold, making it more scratch-resistant and also incredibly difficult to work with. In other words: warmer, rarer, tougher - and only used on Lange’s most special pieces. The Langematik Perpetual was a milestone when it launched in 2001 - the first self-winding perpetual calendar with Lange’s signature outsize date, combining technical complexity with that clean, hyper-legible German design. Limited to just 100 examples worldwide, this isn’t a watch trying to impress you at first glance. It’s one that gets better the longer you sit with it. Is this the ultimate “if you know, you know” perpetual…or is it too subtle for its own good? Let us know in the comments!👇 #ALangeSohne #Perpetual #Honey #WatchesOfInstagram #EuropeanWatchCo

@stevenmarkryan What do you think of the colour? I think I would have preferred a less saturated colour. I also liked the matte finish more

Mama Swoll rushed to the emergency room for her heart again tonight. She has been going thru hell physically and mentally the last two months since going into cardiac arrest and they had to use the paddles/CPR twice to bring her back followed by spending a week in the Cardiac ICU. I can’t even imagine the amount of pain she’s in and how afraid she is. Please, if you can, say a prayer for my Mom. 🙏🏼❤️

@WatchesWinWars It is a good looking watch, but it is hard to justify the price for someone who would actually want to buy it to own it, not to flip it.

@baldassarreted I’d argue it isn’t really a square movement, I see plenty of emptiness at the four corners. I feel Patek had quite a few releases this year that were more interesting and successful

Less than two years after its high-profile debut, the Patek Philippe Cubitus collection welcomes its grandest version yet in terms of horological complexity. The new Cubitus Perpetual Calendar (Ref. 5840P-001) is powered by an all-new, in-house-developed, square-dimensioned movement, Caliber 28-28 Q SQU, which features a skeletonized mainplate and a gold, rhodium-plated micro-rotor (adorned with Patek’s Calatrava cross emblem) that helps it to achieve an impressive thinness of 5.04mm despite its 313 parts and its array of calendar indications. The case, an angular evolution of the octagonal-oriented Nautilus case that preceded it, is similarly slender, measuring just 10mm thick and 45mm wide, from 10:00 to 4:00. The sunburst blue dial carries on the openworked motif of the movement, with its familiar horizontal line pattern offering glimpses of the mechanism behind its white gold indexes and baton hands. The month, day, date, leap year, and moon-phase are all displayed on the elegantly arranged cloverleaf of subdials. The movement achieves a minimum 38-hour and maximum 48-hour power reserve and incorporates several of Patek Philippe’s in-house technical innovations, including the Gyromax balance with Spiromax balance spring. Like all of the maison’s in-house calibers, it meets the stringent requirement of the Patek Philippe Seal. The watch is delivered on a navy blue fabric-pattern strap made of composite material and fastens to the wrist with a platinum fold-over clasp. The MSRP in Swiss francs is 150,000 CHF (around $192,000).
